The restaurants are on the dining package.... but can you get the fantasmic guaranteed seat with just the dining package(and priority seating of course).... or do you have to pay extra under the new dining package. anyone know??

I'd like to know too. This dining plan seems to be getting worse every day. I booked it last week, but since then, several restaurants have been eliminated, or are now counted as two meals :guilty: .

I just read on intercot that it is NOT Included..... ugghh. I too booked dinner package, but am now going to checkinto a AAA room only and purchase tickets separate(they are cheaper that way anyhow).

I'm going to call WDW to confirm that. If it's not included, I'll probably cancel the meal plan. It's not worth it to me then.

Just got off phone with disney dining... Fantasmic Dinner package is NOT included. I asked since the restaurant is included are they just having an add on fee or do you have to buy a whole new meal package..... she said it hasn't changed... you still have to pay the full price($21.99 for adult at H and V)..... going to cancel my dining package and just go AAA discount. Figured it up, will be cheaper for me.

Just cancelled my reservation and told the reservationist why I was cancelling(Fantasmic dinner package not included with dining even though the restaurants are on there).... so also thought this was unfair and said she would be sure to bring this up at the next meeting..... so maybe it will be changed. we can only hope... :)

That is very disappointing to hear :guilty: . I just e-mailed WDW guest services to voice my concern about this.

HI I was wondering what you meant about a AAA discount. I have AAA but I didn't know that would help in dinning? I know it does at Universal but not at Disney. Can you enlighten me??

Thanks!

AAA can help with room cost. You have to book a whole package(either with AAA or wdw.. room, park tickets, dining package) to get the dining package. The dining package sounded great... but even though the restaurant for the fantasmic show is on the list.. you can't use it to get a guaranteed seat for fantasmic.. you have to pay for athe full price(like paying for the meal twice). in value season, AAA gets 20 percent off moderate resorts... it varies with other parts of the season.

We had the free dining plan in October. Went to Brown Derby for dinner, talked to the Matrie D (sorry about the spelling) and he gave us the package passes to get in early. We gave him a tip and everything worked out great.

I believe the Fantasmic package is now included for next year. :)

I have a confirmed dinner reservation for Fantasmic using the dining plan. I will have to call the dining line! She didn't charge my CC just asked for the number if we were a no show. We are going in December. I hope I don't have a problem!

Are there more that I don't know about?! I know CRT has gone to 2 credits and Coral Reef back down to 1. Anything else changed or been recently eliminated that you know about?? :confused3

I will be going to AKL in February and booked all of my reservations last week. i booked the fantasmic package at mama melrose and it was 1 TS. They didn't say anything was going to be an extra charge and she said the show will be at 7:00pm. So I think it is included.

Nik's Mom posted her comment back in January of 2005, when the package was brand new, and it sounds like it was pretty much in a state of flux back then.

They started allowing the use of dining plan credits for the FDP back in September or early October.
