Can those of you that have experienced the Fantasimic Dinner Package please recommend which restaurant to chose. There will be six of us, my wife & I our two boys aged 2 & 4 AND my parents who will be 65 & 70. Its going to be difficult to please everybody, but i was thinking of the 50's prime time diner? (Is that included in the Fantasmic Pakage?).

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi

We ate at Hollywood & Vine, it was nice. No characters though :(

BUT, at various times the Sci-Fi Dine-In and the '50s Prime Time Cafe have also been included, so be sure to ask what restaurant choices are available.

We have done Hollywood Brown Derby, which we weren't keen on, although I know others love it. We loved Mama Melrose - great pasta and Hollywood and Vine serves lots of different dishes.

For your party I suggest Holloywood and Vine - check out the Menu here :)

Another vote here for Hollywood & Vine.

Great choice, great food, good value.

We also loved Hollywood & Vine. There is definitely something for everyone. The only negative thing I would say (and this most certainly didn't bother me but I guess it might some) is that it was quite a noisy location. This suited me though for the children!!

The 50s PTC isn't currently an option, which is a shame as I think it would be great for your party. They are currently running fixed price menus as follows (from Deb Wills' site):

Brown Derby $36.99 adult/$9.99 child (3-11) not including admission, tax, and gratuity. Child's meal includes beverage and dessert. Your choice of appetizer, soup, or salad; entree; and dessert from menu. Items include Spice Grilled Filet Mignon, Pan-Seared Grouper, and The Original Cobb Salad. Alcoholic beverages NOT included.

Mama Melrose $28.99 adult/$9.99 child (3-11) not including admission, tax, and gratuity. Child's meal includes beverage and dessert. Your choice of one wood-fired Flatbread to share from Mama's rustic on-stage kitchen, as well as family style salad, and choice of entrees featuring Linguine Fra Diavolo, Oven Baked Stuffed Chicken Breast, and Char Grilled Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Butter. Dessert: Mama's signature Fantasmic! Tiramisu. Alcoholic beverages NOT included.

Hollywood & Vine $21.99 adult/$10.99 child (3-11) not including admission, tax, and gratuity (no characters) Child's meal includes beverage. All you care to eat buffet. Choose from a number of selections including; oven-roasted Prime Rib, Citrus Baked Chicken, Pan-seared Salmon, and Stir-Fry Noodles with Sesame. Also includes fresh salads and build your own ice cream/dessert bar. Alcoholic beverages NOT included.

I would recommend getting a really early PS. Even with the reserved seating you have to show up at least 30 minutes before showtime. I'd hate to be stressed over dinner thinking I wasn't going to make it. My preference would be to eat as early as possible and then to do some other things around the park until it was time to arrive.

Thanks very much. I am gonna book Hollywood Vine, a buffett sounds good for both kids & parents. In fairness I quite like the sound of it to. We are gonna book the Garden Grill for our second day so the kids will have some character interaction then. Thanks again.

How much is the admission in addition to the PS? I haven't booked ours yet, we still haven't finalised our itinerary, would we be to late?

Hi

We went to the 50's Dine and we thought it was awful. For the amount we paid we would of hoped to had the Fantasmic package. The food was overpriced and the portions was minimal. The service was rude especially the guy from the kitchen who handed (well threw) our dinner to us.

When we arrived at Fantasmic at 7:30 we got a better seat than the PS seating area. The advantage of the PS is that you dont have to wait for a great view for an hour and half.

I would suggest Hollywood and Vine it looked nice and the menu was good too.

Good luck and have a nice time.

There is no admission charge. You just pay for your meals, but you have to guarantee your booking with a credit card and you must make sure they give you the special pass at the restaurant. You can book up to 90 days in advance, although depending on the time of year you're going, you may still get lucky on the day itself.
