fantasmic dinner package

I just spoke to cro and the fantasmic dinner package has been extended indefinitely. I just made my ps for march 30 at mamma's. I know some of us are not big fans of the new package but I do like knowing that everything is set and that we do have seating during this busy time . 38 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there... we did our package at Mama Melroses and I really enjoyed a pasta/artichoke dish they had. Yumm

My daughter had pizza and it was just plain pizza but she enjoyed it...

....ahead and made ressies ahead of time???!?! I thought that you could only book Fantasmic Dinner Pkg while on-site. When did this change; we booked our ressies last July while staying at CBR. (BTW - our dinner ressies were at H & V, which I didn't particularly care for...the food tasted too "prepackaged", like Swanson's TV Dinners!)

PS ~ I would DEFINITELY recommend Fantasmic....thinking of trying Mama Melrose's for next time !!

This has been very confusing!

I called Tuesday (2/19) to make a ps for HBD for our end of March trip and asked about Fantasmic Pkg - they said it would be available the next day.

Called the next day (yesterday - 2/20) in the morning west coast time (ie around noon at WDW) and was told no, it still ended on 2/28. Made a regular ps.

Saw this thread late in the afternoon and called again - got the fantasmic pkg. I was in a hurry so I didn't ask about details - we're also on a silver plan (aside: got recommendations pro and con for this from other DISers; will let you know how it works out for me, DH, and gourmets in training DS14 and DS17). So, I'm really not sure how the plan is working now but I do know it's covered by the silver plan.

The thing that really surprised me was that I had to make my dinner ps between 3:30 and 4:30 - Fantasmic is at 7:30. Seemed awfully early to me.

....I'm very surprised at that time, too. Usually dinner "begins" at 4PM and FDP is DEFINITELY a dinner deal, not available for lunch. I'm just still floored that you can make a ps for Fantasmic over the phone before you even get to WDW!!!

Hi all

I have been waiting for the fantasmic dinner package too, so as soon as I saw this thread I hopped on the phone to call wdw dine. Well, I could not get a ps for Mama Melrose's ( I thought this was an easy restaurant to get a ps) for March 10th, all booked up for our party size, 5, so I had to do brown derby...not that I mind, I understand the food is great but my kids are 4,6, and 8, so I am thinking this may not be a good time for me! I still could of got hollywood and vine, but as we plan to eat there another day I figured go for the brown derby. The moral of the story....if you want to get the fantasmic dinner package for march, you better get on the phone pronto! It seems that availability is maybe not so great?!! (mind you, I only tried for that one night on March 10th but better safe than sorry!)
