I have only a couple of days until I can make my ADR's :cool1: And I've been wondering exactly how the package works. Like, how do the CM's know you had the package so can go in to the designated section for the people that did? Also, I plan on getting the package for lunch, can I leave the park some time after going to the restaurant and come back for the show, or would I have to stay all day in the park?

And so far the calendar says there's only going to be one showing the day I'm going to Hollywood Studios, but I've read that during busy times, they tend to make 2? Do I have to choose at which showing I'll go when reserving the package, or can I show up at whichever one I want if they were to change the schedule and add another showing??

Disney noob here, so anything is appreciated! Thanks : )

when you make your ADRs, you make them specifically for the package, so it will be noted on your reservation. Remind the hostess or server if you feel the need. You'll get a voucher after dining and will be directed to a certain entrance at a certain time (roughly 45 mins before the show). The only people who come through that entrance have the voucher for the package, and you'll be directed to the seating area.

You can come and go from the park as you please throughout the day, just get to the entrance to Fantasmic by the time they tell you, they open up the reserved area about 30 mins before showtime to any guests, so your reserved seating will be lost if you show up late.

The Fantasmic package is only valid for the first show on nights with multiple showing.

I did it last year and it worked out great. We had an early dinner around 4:30 or 5:00, went in and ate and I have to say the food is amazing, better than California Grill that I ate the previous night in my opinion. Be sure to try the Cobb Salad, it's wonderful. They give you a voucher which basically is your ticket for the preferred seating for Fantasmic. So we rode a few rides and then watched Fantasmic which was great. Just be careful not to lose your voucher. You'll see signs for it around the Beauty and the Beast show where a path leads behind everything and takes you right to it.
