Can anyone give me the lowdown on this? I have tried for the last half hour to do a search, but it keeps locking up my computer. What are the two restaurants involved and prices? Is one better than the other?

Thanks for any and all info.

Kelly

There are 3 restaurants, Hollywood and Vine, Momma Melrose and Brown Derby.
I believe the prices were 22.99 for H&V, 34.99 for MM and 39.99 for Brown Derby.

Thanks so much!!

One last question, what is considered child's ages?`

The other two people are correct, there are 3 resturants, first H&V which iks a buffet for $22.99 (they say no beverage inclued), the scond is Mama Meroes, for $32.99 and you get a flat bread to share, family style salad, coice of entree, and taraismu for dessert. the third is Brown Derby for $39.99 and you get your choice of soup, sald or appatizer, choice of entree and choice of dessert. Also beverages are not included.

When we called and got our PS for Brown Derby on 10/24 they told us the latstest we could eat was 2hours piror to the show, if they have space available.

Hope this help and have fun,We can hardly wait for our trip.:bounce:

The food at Mama Melrose is GREAT! The package is also a great way to see Fantasmic!

Thanks so much for the responses!

I just made PS for Hollywood and Vine on 11/23 for 7 of us and 11/25 for character bfast at AK.

YEAH

I just did the Brown Derby, and the cost of all the food I got was more than the package price! An unbelievable deal considering we were told not to tip either! Without the package, it would have cost me $30 more than with the package!

Off to find another Zebra! Yum!

I need some info on this as well. I am leaving for WDW next week :D & we are going to be visiting MGM on my dd 13th birthday. Do any of these restaurants offer anything special for birthday's? Also exactly how does the "special" seating for Fantasmic work? Do you have to go straight there after dinner? Do you get a special "pass" or something so you can do whatever after dinner & then get to go right in to Fantasmic when you are ready? If Fantasmic starts at 8pm, what's a good time for dinner? If you are unable to do the dinner/show combo, when should you arrive at Fantasmic to get a somewhat decent seat? Can't wait to get there & we want to make the most of our time!!

There are three restaurants to chose from as has already been discusees. When we go in November, Fantasmic is at 7:00 and we got PS at Hollywood and Vine for 5:00. You recieve your reservation and Fantasmic passes at Guest Relations when you first get in the park (or up to 7 days beforehand). As for the seating, there is a special section for the Fantasmic dinner package crowd. You go to a separate entrance than the general public and are told to get there approx 30 minutes before showtime. I have read when the park are extremely busy, it is not unusual to wait in line for this show for up to 2 hours, so 30 minutes sounds good to me :)

I know the last time we went to MGM, a year and a half ago, there was huge lines. We waited for an hour and then all of a sudden peole started walking out. When we asked why, they said that they were in the front of the line, and there literally were no seats left and wished us luck. That is when we decided not to go either. Hopefully with the package, we will see the show this time around, and have dinner also.

As for birthday specials, I think if you call PS they can tell you if any restaurants offer anything.

Have fun

Are there different prices for children? And how many days out can you book this package? Is this a new thing as I thought you could only book 7 days in advance and in person at the park? Is it for a trial period? Lots of questions I know.

Hi.
We just did Brown Derby Fantasmic Package on Sept. 26th.
We had PS for just a regular dinner at 5:40 Pm. We were able to obtain the PS two days before.
We did not schedule the package because I heard that you were limited on what you could choose to eat.
However, we ordered 2 appetizers which we split: the crabcake and the mixed field green salad, 2 dinners: both got the filet, and two desserts: the grapefruit cake and creme brulee to share. All of which was wonderful!
Our dinner was running late and we told the waitress we were trying to make Fantasmic and she rerung our meal under the package deal. We actually saved money because it included the tip of 15%.
With the package, you get to enter through a special entrance to Fantasmic and are seated on the right side of the theater. There is not a bad seat in the house. We were able to walk right in and get a seat on the middle section of the the right side. It was the BEST show I ever saw! I loved it.

Would not recommend Brown Derby for kids however. There is not much for them to look at there.

We also received complimentary bubbly for our 10 year anniversary.

Overall, really enjoyed our dinner there.

:D Missing the World already!

I was wondering if you can make reservations threw at your disney hotel seven days in advance? Thanks Kelly:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi.
I think you can make ressies through PS in advance now.
You no longer need to be there in person 7 days before.
If you are going at a noncrowded time, you can probably make it a few days in advance.

We did the Fantasmic package on Sept 25th. I made the ressies in my room the night before. We went to H&V. It was 22.99 for adults and 10.99 for kids it did include a beverage for both adults and kids. If you want beer or wine or a mixed drink it is extra. It also includes the 15% tip so you really save by doing the package. The dinner is 17.99 without the drink and without the tip. You have to pick up your dinner voucher and ticket to Fantasmic at guess relations inside the park. When you call to get ressies you have to put it on a credit card. So when you pick up your voucher your dinner is payed for. We at at 5:20 got done at 6:30. Went on a few rides and went into the show at 7 it started at 8. We went in a seperated entrance. You had between 6 and 7:30. They give away your seat if you go pass 7:30. When we went in at 7 half the seats were full on the other side. We got great seats even with your package I would go early. The later you go the farther on the side you are. It was a great show my 6 year old had tears when it was over she said it was the best show she ever seen. So it was worth sitting for an hour in 90 degree heat for the show. Have fun all I hope the heat breaks when we left Sat it was 97 in Orlando.
