Fantasmic dinner package

Last time I did this was back in 2007 and fantasmic was showing every day. Now that it's not I plan on doing the dinner and a show package. Did some one post that you had to prepay this on a cc?

I believe that you do need to prepay now if you want a reservation. I assume the change happened because it is so popular and they don't want people to cancel. When you prepay, you do get reserved seating. I believe there's still the option to get there early and hope you can get in, and this could be a way around prepaying, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

If you do book a reservation and need to cancel it, be sure to call at least 48 hours ahead of time to make sure your card won't be charged anything.

You don't really prepay. They take your credit card number as a guarantee, in case you don't show up. If you don't cancel within 48 hours prior and don't show up, then your credit card gets charge a fee. I'll be doing the Fantasmic pkg at Mama Melrose this Sunday (5/10/09).

The CC is to hold your reservation. If you don't cancel within 48 hours and do not show, you will be charged.

Yup - it's just a hold in case you don't show. I think the no show penalty is $10.
