Fantasmic Dinner package ????

Can someone please explain the fantasmic package to me? What are the benefits? Do you still have to get there real early to save a seats? We are a party of 9 going the week after Thanksgiving? Do you think it is necessary? Also, which restaurant do you recommend? I didn't really plan to go to either one of these restaurants originally, until I found out about fantasmic pkg!!

I enjoyed the Fantasmic Pkg last month in Disney.......we were four adults and we didnt have to go so early and sit on those hard seats......
We ate at Hollywood and Vine which has a wide assortment of foods for all peoples likings..
I think that Thanksgiving may be a high volume of people time and you may want to do this pkg.....it does not cost any more then your meal would ....

We did it last year and are so glad we did. The line for Fantasmic was long way before we went in the back entrance to get our seats. (it was also the last night before a refurb, so that probably increased the crowds) We didn't wait at all, just zipped in the entrance for the package people and walked right to our seats.

This is my opinion having done the package many times and finally going without the package twice. My experiences have always been off season in August, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec.

The package guarantees you a seat up to 30 minutes before. It's best to get there at 45 minutes before. It does not get you a better seat. The package seats are to the far right. These seats are also first come, first serve. The later you come, the further to the right or front you will be.

When I did the package I got a seat at 45 minutes before and most of the stadium was still empty except the center (best seats).

One time we did the package and ended up not sitting in the package section and moved to the center.

When I did Fantasmic without the package, I entered one hour before and had amazing seats right in the center, half way back.

I don't feel you need the package off season. You can get better seats without the package and eat where ever you want to. I prefer eating at 50's Prime Time or Sci-fi rather than the 3 choices with the package.

The package is great if you are going peak season or on a holiday.

Since you will be there AFTER Thanksgiving week, you should be fine. I've gone that week 3 times now and it's heaven!

I've gone off season (early December, February and May) I didn't have any problem at all. I went about an hour before the show, but could have gone later. I have a package late in my vacation if I need it in early August. We will try to go without it earlier and if it works out we'll cancel the package.

QUick question, I will be doing the package over labor day weekend with my grandfather. We wil be using a wheelchair, do those seat fill up quickest?? What if they are out of the w/c seats in the pacakge section, will we get moved over or ??? I would hate to pay for the package only to have to have my dgf walk down the steps (not happening..lol). Just curious how it works with those in a w/c party.
