Fantasmic dinner package...worth it?

I recently posted about the WOC package and if it was worth it. We are still debating. Now we also are wondering about Fantasmic. We are going July 21-23 (Tues to Thurs). The kids probably won't make it to either of the later shows for WOC or Fantasmic, so we are going to the earlier ones where is seems a good spot is harder to come by. Also now that the fireworks are directly viewable from the Fantasmic area (I think....I'm a Disney World vet!!) it sounds like a good spot will be difficult and trust me, we are not the type to wait around for hours. (I know I want to have my cake and eat it too). So tell me if it is worth it to spend the money for the dinner. Also any opinions on the options and food allergy (child with egg and nuts allergy) is also welcome!
Thanks!!

We did the BB/fantasmic dinner in May & loved it! Great seating area for the show & fabulous seat cushion that made the cobblestone very comfortable.

As for allergies...dd has celiac & is gluten free. Eating pretty much anywhere in the parks is a breeze, and BB is no different :)

We have been to Fantasmic a few times before, but this is the first time we are doing the package. The main reasons are that we have never eaten at the Blue Bayou and we wanted a good spot for the fireworks afterword.

Fantasmic Blue Bayou Package will be the first thing I book after making a hotel reservation when getting back to Disneyland one day.

It was perfect! The restaurant experience is aweseome, the food was high quality, yo do not need to worry about a high food bill because of the prix fixe menu with plenty of choices, you will get the cushion (which is a very cheap-quality but useful thing, we immediately put it into the next trashcan after the show and the fireworks), the viewing spot is excellent (!) and we walked up just a few minutes before the show started

I can only recommend to book this package, the same for Carthay Circle WOC package

Can you use the dining plan for this package?

Do you get the cushion when you check in for Fantasmic, or do you have to carry it around after dinner? BTW, I liked Wine Country for the WOC package, which I booked again. Different strokes.....

If you make a reservation for a dinner package for Fantasmic or WOC, do you have to eat within a specific time period in order to get a ticket to view the show? We have not done the dining package for the show and are considering it, but not sure of exactly how this works. Do they give you a ticket for a specific spot to view depending one where or what time you eat? And I would also like to know if you do the BB, do you get the cushion when you get to the spot to view the show or do you get it when you leave BB and tote it around with you until the show? Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't believe there is a dining plan at DLR anymore...and when there was, it was just vouchers you could use anywhere (I think...never used it).
The Disney Junior Character meal is listed as one of the package options. It is also listed on the dining plan. Not sure if it is seperated for the package or not.

We have an 8:10pm dinner seating. Any chance we will make the 9pm Fantasmic?

No. I believe 6:30 is about the cut off for diners that receive passes for the 1st showing. You will get passes for the 2nd showing of F! that night. You'll need at least an hour to dine at BB.

And I also think the BB F! is worth it. BB is a splurge to us anyway because the cost of dining there is quite high already. But strolling into the viewing area close to the center and water just 15 minutes before the show is REALLY nice. I think the cost is "worth it".

We grabbed FPs for the show on Monday. We lined up about the time the FP ticket said to and we were only 1 back from the rails for the show. It did fill up fast, though. The Blue Bayou section had a TON of space. It looked very appealling, but the cost.....

Are you talking about DisneyLAND or DisneyWORLD? There is NO Disney Junior Character Meal, not dining plan that I'm aware of, at DisneyLAND.

Disney World. The Disney Junior Character Meals (B,L) are at Hollywood and Vine.

you realize this thread is asking about Blue Bayou Fantasmic Dinner package, at Disneyland? On the Disneyland Forum?

You get it at the meal, but they do fit in a backpack. We easily fit 2 in dh's backpack when we went. And even though they seem "thin" or "cheap" they are super comfy on the ground! You don't realize how comfy until you scoot off! :) We reused ours the next day at the Pixar parade, & are planning on bringing them back next week.

Whoops, I did not realize that. I thought the Blue Bayou was a new option that I have not heard about at WDW. Ive never been to Disneyland yet. Hope to in the near future. Most of the responses sounds like they could fit at both resorts.

Why isn't there a chair to go along with said tush cush? Tia

You get it at the restaurant.

I would rather receive the tasty chocolate doubloons instead. I miss those. They were so delicious and had been made on-site too. I wish Disneyland would offer them again.
