Fantasmic Dinner Package vs FP+

What is the difference between having the dinner package vs a FP for Fantasmic. I know in the past that the dinner package guaranteed a spot in the center section. Is this still true or will we have to battle for a seat with those who have a FP for Fantasmic?

Dinner package guests still have the reserved section in the center. We did the dinner package 5 days ago. Not exactly sure where the FP+ people were seated.

The other benefit of the dinner package is, if you're eating at Mama Melrose's like we did, and you're on the dining plan, you get a 3-course meal instead (including appetizer) of just entree & dessert for your same 1 credit.

Seating for Fantasmic opens one hour before showtime with Dining Package guests sitting in the two center sections.

- Fp+ enter on the left side of the pathway and sit in the Fp+ area - all sections to the left of dining are filled one by one with CMs overseeing this process.

- Standby guests enter on the right side of the pathway and veer to the right entrance. Each section to the right of Dining is filled one by one until the complete standby area is filled.

- Once standby is filled, all waiting standby guests are held in the entrance pathway until 5 minutes before showtime. At that time, they are allowed to fill in the Fp+ area.
