Is it necessary to do the FDP in early November in order to see the show (without a huge wait?). I've never seen it and really want to (last 2 times at WDW were summer, and we never got to do it). But we have 2 children (5 & 9), as well as my 70 year old father with us.. so I'm weighing the cost of a FDP against the convenience of not waiting in a long line.

Have any of you been to WDW early Nov (not Jersey week - it's the week after), and had experience with wait times for Fantasmic?

thanks.

I went to Disney last November (3rd week there and I think the dates were 11/14 through 11/22). I made PS for Fantasmic dinner package and was so very glad I did as I ended up in the showarea about 20 minutes to and the arena was filling up quickly and completely filled 5 minutes before the show began with people standing up in the back area. All I can say is at least I didn't have the hour plus wait that I had in Dec. 2002. I say make the PS, have dinner and then just walk into the show 15 minutes to before it begins and get your seats, it really does make it nicer than stressing out in line and waiting an hour for the show to begin.

I did the FDP last year and was so glad we did it. It was nice to eat then not have to stand in line too early to get a good seat. It was worth every penny. I have 2 very active boys ds5 & ds6. We are a party of 6 and had no problems sitting together. I say go for it. Oh, I went the week before Thanksgiving last year.
