Fantasmic Dinner Package Changes

Last time we were there it was $21.99 for adults. Hopefully, it hasn't gone up yet. Sodas and iced tea are included in the price. I don't know about milk, but hopefully, it is also included.

It is nice to get a 4:30 priority seating if you can. We had a 4pm last time and literally ran from the 3pm parade to H&V. I liked going to dinner early becauase she had time to see the Beauty and the Beast show and shop a little before sitting for Fantasmic.

My son got milk to drink, and refills on that. Everything was included. Given what my son ate, we paid an awful lot for that happy meal minus the toy - and actually, it was less than a happy meal because there were no fries (I think there should have been fries on the kids bar) but the kids thought it was neat to have their "own" bar. My daughter ate plenty, and probably cost them with how she went crazy at the ice cream toppings bar. That was insane, hubby was in charge :earboy2: but she had fun! That's all that counts!

Minybear-are you staying concierge? Is IPO not able to make those ressies for you? Sometimes they have better luck-and they will keep trying for you.

Yes I am staying concierge. Per the staff (this is about a week ago) 12/8th has opened up but not 10/9. They are definatly looking for me. :teleport:

We did the package in May, whilst the seats weren't fantastic they were still pretty good and we had a good view. We ate at the Hollywood Brown Derby and the meal was on of the nicest meals we had during the whole of our 3 week stay in Disney!! the service was fabulous. I would highly recommend the Hollywood Brown Derby!!

I just got PS for 2 on Dec 30 at 350pm at H&V ! I feel lucky to have gotten anything at all ! :jumping4:

Are you free to pick anything from the menu at Brown Derby or do they have a set menu for the dinner package?

I read at a web site that you are required to eat off a fantasmic menu.
I can't remember which web site..could be mousesavers.com or allearsnet.com. :flower:

In October it was their regular menu, appetizer, entree and dessert -beverages were extra.

Just did the FDP at Brown Derby last week.

We were able to order anything on the regular menu, 1 appetizer, entre and dessert plus a non alcoholic beverage and coffee. DS and I tried the Cobb Salad, this counted as an appetizer for each, but there was plenty of it (we shared with everyone)The only thing that was not included was any alcoholic beverages.

Just did FDP at Momma Melrose's. They seem to do a modified version of the HBD's arrangement. We were not allowed to order an appetiser and were limited to the Chef's salad of field greens with a balsamic vinegarette. We were limited to a flat bread of our choice, non-alchoholic beverage, and an entree of our choice plus we were limited to only tarimasu for desert. So really we were given three choices, that of flat bread, beverage, and entree. The other choices were made for us.

It was worth it to not stand in line and spend an hour-and-a-half sitting on those aluminum benches, but not what I would consider a good deal or real choice.

I will be at the world in early February, should i still try to get the package or can i count on the lines being short and just waiting on line to see the show?? :cheer2:

We usually do HBD but are looking for a change-what do you recommend?

As long as you aren't going during President's Week you should be OK without it. Even during PW, we didn't find the line too long. We went in 30 minutes before the show and got decent seats. At that point they should open up the FDP section if the rest of the ampitheater is filling up anyway.

Your paying to NOT STAND IN LINE and that can be priceless to people with children.

I do understand the other side to this though.

Guess that is why they call it "Marketing" Unfortunetly for us--That is the buisness of Disney!

I just did this on Dec 20th at HV. I say it was worth it. We walked in 15 b4 the show because we walked around after dinner. Then they had a huge section open and we sat up front! No wait, good seats! What a great show too!

Its a chance if you do not do it... it could still work out for ya .. its a gamble.
