If you have kids, Hollywood and Vine is the way to go. The icecream bar is great and they have a ton of entree selections for both adults and kids. We loved it there.

If you have a My Way package that includes the dining option, can you use this for the Fantasmic dinner pkg?

Unfortunately, you can't use the MYW dining plan for the Fantasmic Dinner package. I just found this out myself, very disappointing :sad2: But the good thing is, if you did the Fantasmic package, you would have one table service meal left on your plan, which you could then use toward a signature meal on one of the other days, or use it on your arrival or departure day.

I just found out that if you are on the Premium Package plan, it does include the Fantasmic Dinner package.

I just called a disney rep today to inquire about the magic your way dining package for fantasmic and she told me you could use it. (we are travelling with two other families and they have the dining option but we don't because we already had our passes)

I have no clue whether you can use it or not, I was just viewing these boards and the number of posts for this thread was 666 so I had to post just to get that number off there...I am a freak about that kinda stuff..LOL

I called back a few days ago (right after the April hours were released) to get a later PS for BD's FDP on 4/24 and was told that 4pm is the latest time and it's all sold out. So we stuck with our 3:40 for now, but we're eating lunch at 11:15. I can change that to 11, but still, not a huge time difference between meals. I would get rid of lunch, but we're eating at 50'sPTC and it's my BIL's 17th birthday so we want to eat there for that, plus it's the only night we can do Fantasmic with him.

Any ideas if anything later than 3:40 will open up? Fantasmic is at 8:30 that night, so I really thought we could get a 4:30 or something like that. Do the other restaurants do later PSs for FDP?

Wait till the 30 day window comes and call back. There will be later times. I don't know why they do this. I suppose some people don't know to call back though and just keep the earlier times. You should be able to get something later.

Thanks Eeyore! I was hoping for this, but wasn't sure if I was just imagining something like that happening. I'll go mark the 30th day on my calendar so I don't forget!

I don't know if you've read this or not...I've discussed it before but it's been awhile. In short: when I called in Dec. for our March PS, I made a 5:30 dinner reservation instead of going with the 4:20 Fantasmic PS...the CM I was working with suggested I do this because once in the system with a PS for 5:30, expecting they'll release more PS due to the 2nd showing (March 30th, Easter week), all I need to do is call back and link this PS with the Fantasmic Package. Just something else to think about.....

Thanks for the tip. I wish I could make a PS and keep the FDP, that way I'd still have the FDP if they don't open up later times. We'll be waiting for the 30 day window too (but it's not till March 24th!!!), though we'll probably call a few times before then too. Sometimes I feel really stupid when I call so much though, just seems like a waste of time and money when they never have anything new since last time. Ugh, just like checking for codes.

We are going in Feb, and already have PS at 50's Prime Time. I thought that Disney just added this to the Fantasmic Dinner package.... Has anyone else heard this? Also during busier times would add a package that would include lunch?

I think they can give more PS for just eating than they can allocate Fantasmic dinner packages. So if you book early you can get a PS, and if they open up a second Fantasmic showing you gan convert it to a package.

I have a fantasmic PS for H&V for 17/3, which I booked as soon as the 90-day slot opened.

:cloud9:

That's exactly how it is...there are only so many PS with Fantasmic package available until or if they release a second show. There are always PS for folks not interested in going to the show but want the security of a PS for dinner. I called at 7am on my 90 day out window as well, and could have had my pick of times for the dinner package...but as you all know, that latest one is 4:20. Knowing Disney history of 2 shows during peak park hours and Easter week, a 5:30 dinner works great for us. We'll eat...let the boys do another tumble at Tower and settle in for the show. Apparently, the CM I spoke with has used this combination....make the PS for the time you want then call back 30 days out to link with dinner package.
I just can't believe I'm now on a count down for the 30 day calling...good luck.

I have a question that I didn't see addressed when I skimmed through this huge thread. I know that with the dinner package you get to enter through a special entrance near the entrance to the park. My question is....

Are you able to exit the show the same way?

I would love to be able to avoid that mass of people exiting through the main entrance. It would also give us the advantage of getting to the busses sooner.

thanks.

In my experience, although you do start out leaving the way you entered, they change part of it and you end up exiting with the masses and you do not exit by the entrance. No advantage in exiting for us.

I agree with the prior posters. You'll end up exiting near TOT and have to walk up Sunset Blvd and down Hollywood Blvd with the crowds.
