We have the Basic DP offer and were thinking of using a table service at either Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine. If we decide to do the Fantasmic package do we get anything in addition to our usual meal and dessert? I know we get entry to the show 90 minutes early and certain seating but do we get anything else?

Also do we have to choose certain things off the menu doing the package vs just using the DDP?

TIA

At Momma Melrose, you'll get an appetizer because it's included in the package. Hollywood & Vine is a buffet, so no extra appetizer.

At Mama Melrose you get the appetizer like the PP mentioned (one per diner, just like the old days of the DDP), entree, drink, and dessert, and you can choose from the regular menu. We loved our meal there!

No - it's all included in your dining credit. Unless you want to order a beer or something else that isn't covered.

1 credit for Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine, 2 for Brown Derby.

I would do Mama Melrose if its available. We ate (or should I say, tried to eat) at H & V, and it was horrible. I wouldnt feed that slop to my dogs, thats how bad it was. They really need to close that place.

We are doing the DDP and have booked Mama Melrose Fantasmic Pkg. It's 1 TS per person and unlike other restaurants on the DDP, you do get an appetizer. Great value! The only thing is make sure you call right at your 90 day mark. I called at 7am, right on our 90 day mark and was only able to get 3:35pm. Not the best time for dinner. But there are a lot of people trying to get ADR's so I feel fortunate that we have one at all.

Great advice. :thumbsup2

This was the first ADR we requested at the 90+10 mark even though it was on our 6th day. Usually I start on day 1 and go forward (but not for this one).

I'd also add to maximize your chances of getting an F! package, DIS'ers should look at the F! schedule and pick the LAST one they could attend during their time at Disney because less people would be eligible to book it under the 90+10 rules.

For example, I'm going May 16-23 and had 3 choices for F!, May 17, 20 & 21. When calling, I didn't even think about the 17th or 20th. I immediately tried for the 21st because it was last, so less people would were eligible to book it. I got a 4:20 MM package, which is about as late as they do for the F! package. Good Luck all! :goodvibes

We did the package with Mama Melrose in January and really liked it. We had to have an early dinner (3 p.m.), but we didn't have lunch so it was fine. It does take a while in there - we were there close to two hours. Not sure if it was normally like that. But it was raining, so we didn't mind!

Just an FYI, the dinner packages actually do go until 5:30, but of course the latest choices are always booked first. We had a 5:20 seating for the package last September; for our upcoming trip in May we have a 5:00 p.m. seating.
