Fantasmic Dinner and Seating Concern

Concerened by Disneyrsh's post.............

Has anyone else had problems with getting seating when using the Fantasmic Dinner Package? We are only using the package because of the seating and would be extremely disappointed if we had difficulties with it.

For those of you who haven't read her post........she noted that her family had done the dinner package at MM and went to the seating 30 minutes prior only to find chaos and no seating at all in the entire place.

We were there last year during the summer and over a holiday week. We had absolutely no problem with our seating. I would not worry about it. I would recommend getting there 40 minutes early. At some point, they will start opening that seating up to others.

We did the Fantasmic package this past April & loved it! Our dinner was at H&V, no problems at all. We went to the show early (maybe 40 mins) and had great seats. We can't wait to do it again in 4/06.

We did have done this quite a few times and we did see trouble like you described once, in July 04.

We arrived at the gate a few minutes more than 30 minutes in advance. Some people were right behind us walking up the path, probably arriving just at 30 minutes in advance as told.

When we got to the top, the regular line was merging into the FDP line. We were able to get the last row of regular seats inthe reserved section and people behind us (1 large party and a few straglers if I remember correctly) ended up sitting in the last row or 2 which are noted as handicap rows. After a few minutes the CM was yelling at them they had to move (no one was waiting for the handicap rows, the CM was just telling them they didnt belong there and had to go to standing room). Well obviously they were pretty ticked off as they had done the package, arrived when they were told to, and saw other people who hadnt done the package taking up seats in their reserved section. They werent moving, the CM kept yelling, they spoke up pleading their case (nto very happily), etc... Finally I saw 1 lady go talk to what looked like a security guard in the area. In the end they were able to keep their seats as no one needed them, but after seeing that, I will always arrivie at least 40 minutes in advance when doing the package.
