Looks like dining reservations will soon be released for my dates so i have a few questions:
1. Is blue bayou and riverbelle seating still together, or do they have seperate sections now?
2. I am a mushroom hating vegetarian. After looking at the blue bayou menu it looks like the only vegetarian option is a mushroom dish. Any chance they would be able to make something else for me, or would i be out of luck?
3. Do you still get a cushion with the blue bayou meal?
Thanks everyone

1. The sections are now combined.
2. Someone mentioned they do some sort of pasta dish. I am pretty sure they could accomodate you.
3. You still get a cushion :)

I sat in the BB F! seating before it was combined and easily got rail seating, which was nice, but to be honest the rail was in the way a bit. I was constantly shifting to avoid it. Last week we did the BBB F! again and decided that now that it's combined, we wouldn't rush for the rail. We sat in the back row on the left side of the section and it was actually a better view than the rail IMO. I imagine the area inbetween can be hit or miss depending on the people around you, but I was just as happy in the back.

Everyone in this section is seated, correct? I'm wondering if we should plan on sitting towards the back of the section even though we will have our daughters (12 and 9) with us.

The River Belle Terrace and Blue Bayou sections are combined. Blue Bayou still receives the seat cushions. The entire dining section is seated only - no standing. I was there just over a week ago for the earlier performance. The section is quite large and I would not be overly concerned about space, so long as you show up a reasonable amount of time in advance - I would recommend about 8:00 - 8:15 for a 9:00 pm performance, maybe earlier on more crowded evenings. This picture is one I took a few rows back from the railing.

As someone who has made the mistake of sitting at the railing before, I highly advise not doing that. I actually wish I was seated a bit further back than I am in the above picture - you can see the location of the railing in the image. The best part of all in my opinion was that Disneyland Forever started shortly after Fantasmic! ended. The view from this location was absolutely spectacular. You see all the large fireworks behind ToonTown, most of the lower level fireworks from the Castle, Tinkerbell and Nemo, as well as the projections on the mist screens.

I was able to view Disneyland Forever from Main Street (2x), Small World, Fantasmic!, and outside the park. I loved Main Street, but I actually preferred Fantasmic because of the back to back shows, plus the fact that you get to sit down. I was easily able to find a curbside, seated location for the late showing of Paint the Night in Town Square following Disneyland Forever. Staking out a spot for Paint the Night in Town Square affords you the opportunity of seeing the parade as it steps off and provides easy access to leave the park once the parade has concluded. There are even numerous benches in Town Square that may be available if you arrive immediately after Disneyland Forever.

I hope this helps!

I want to photograph the show. We are dining at RBT. Will the back of that section be better? Or is it possible to sit in the very front and shoot between rails?

If we sit in the very back would I be able to stand up with my infant if need be? Also is the back best or middle? Is there a better side if we are going to watch fireworks too? We are thinking about doing RBT because of picky eaters but feeling sad about missing the cool BBview and cushion lol

Add me to the list of wondering if towards the back is better for photos. We'll also have DD with us. Do they allow strollers in the section, or is there stroller parking near by?

They have stroller parking nearby but if you wait out the fireworks it will help as leaving and fighting to find and get to your stroller can be a nightmare if you leave with the masses lol gotta love 100+ parents with tired kids trying to find a stroller the cm moved :rotfl2:

The show schedule isn't up yet...when are F! and Disneyland Forever likely to show? (How long is the wait between the end of F! and the start of DL Forever?) Saturday is our second day there, and DD may not be quite over jet lag enough to stay for DL Forever (though I'd like to do that if we can)

I do not know the answer to standing at the back of the dining section. My guess would be "no" because the CM's are often very strict about sitting or standing during Fantasmic! Also, the control area for Fantasmic! covers a portion of the area immediately behind the dining section. I also cannot state whether pictures would be best from the back of the section. The seating is terraced and everyone is sitting, so pictures should come out well. All the Made With Magic items and the glowing sipper cups really light up the area. If people in front of you have these items that may impact your pictures in some way.

I believe that typically on weekends where Fantasmic! is shown, the performances are around 9:00 and 10:30 pm. Disneyland Forever started at 9:30 pm (actually 9:28 according to my phone) on the night we attended. Therefore, there was about 5 minutes between the end of Fantasmic! and the start of DL Forever. The perfect amount of time to stretch your legs before the fireworks. I imagine during the holidays when it is darker earlier, the shows might begin sooner. I would look at old park hours and show schedules to get a feel for November/December show times.

It's been forever since we have seen F!, so I wasn't sure how long it was...so it's apx 20 mins or so? If we're only waiting 5-10 mins for fireworks to start, then we might as well stay where we are til they are done. Trying to get a stroller through a leaving crowd and down a full main street would just be a hassle anyway (and take forever!) might as well use the same amount of time and see the show!

Everyone had to be seated. The CM's went around a few minutes before and told anyone who was standing that they needed to sit when the show started.

No, they won't allow you to stand in the back. There were a few people in our area who were asking the CM's (mostly older people who couldn't sit on the ground) about standing and they said they could stand further up in the roped off area, but the view wasn't good. I even heard one woman argue that the standing area she offered was too far back, the CM nicely stated that it was either sit where she was or stand back there.

I think the entire area is good for viewing, not really a bad seat for fireworks or the show. And as far as the cushion goes, it softens the blow a bit, but hard ground is hard ground. My daughter sat on my lap so I was able to do two cushions and it was so much nicer.

When we did it, the daily schedule was 8-12. Fantasmic played at 9:00 and the fireworks started at 9:30. The show is about 20-ish minutes, there is only about 5 minutes between the show and the fireworks. Enough time for people who don't want to watch to get out.

I was just able to make reservations for the River Belle Terrace Fantasmic diner on the monday before thanksgiving. I'm hoping that means they plan to have Fantasmic every night that week.
