Fantasmic Dining Questions

Two questions about this --

First, can you just make "regular" ADRs for the restaurant (e.g. just make dinner reservations at Blue Bayou on a night when F! is showing)? Or is there a specific type of reservation that qualifies for the FP?

Second, do you get to pick which show the FP is for?

Never mind on question #1 -- I see now that there is a separate reservation for the F! package.

I'm pretty sure that they have the first block of dining times set aside for the first show, and the next block of times for the later show. I'm not sure when the cut-off is though. You can call the reservation line to get information from a CM. Also, if you have an earlier reservation, there may be a chance that you could ask your server really nicely if they could give you FPs for the later show. At least they sometimes allowed that for World of Color dining packages. I'm not sure how strictly they enforce it for Fantasmic! I'm pretty sure that the earlier FPs aren't an option for later reservations since the reservations are more likely to overlap with the earlier show time.

When I called to my my F! Reservation and blue bayou the cm told me 6:30 was the cut off. So anything before that time would get the first showing and anything after would get the 2nd showing

Ditto my experience. If you require one show over another, I would book with those time frames in mind. A nice CM might assist you but you just can't count on it.
