Fantasmic dining package timing

Hey all!

I've done the Fantasmic package at Blue Bayou in the past (and loved it), so I decided to do it again this coming August. I haven't done it since 2015 though, and don't remember a key detail.

I made a reservation at 7:30 PM for Wednesday, August 21 (all they had, and fine because I'm flying over and landing around 10 AM). That said, the package name says "First Show" in it. If the current daily schedule stays the same (9 PM first show), how is that possible? Wouldn't that be a relatively rushed meal, especially if I'm seated late? Is this par for the course? If not, how would you get a voucher for the second show instead?

Staying til the 28th and have some more free nights coming up, so I'll try for earlier times later in my trip. Still, it'd be a great "Welcome Home" type of first night.

you can call the dining reservation line and ask them, is what I would say. Better to get it resolved now, then worry about it on the 21st.

Note that my guess is that since August 21st is not in the official calendar yet (it only goes up to August 5 as of right now), they do not officially have a second show scheduled yet, and it indicates first show becuase of that. Once the second show is added, you should be on the second show.
