Fantasmic Dining Package - Blue Bayou Questions

Kind of an unrelated question but does anyone know if you can alter the sides with the entrees at Blue Bayou? I really wish there was a combination of menu items that sounded good, but I'd be hard pressed to find an entree that sounded like a 50.00 plus meal.
The food quality is pretty high end, you get a starter, bread, entree, dessert and drinks included for $61 as well as the cushions and the special seating. I felt the value was very good to be honest...

How long would it take to complete the meal at BB, or a round about guess of how long its taken those that have? I got reservations for 7:20 - I wanted to try to catch the new fireworks show before the second Fantasmic show. I only have the one day at DL, and one day at DCA, so I was TRYING to get both shows in. The package for Fantasmic is really for my hubby, but I'm dying to see the fireworks and projections in June.

Someone, please make me feel better about my timing! :(
You should be ok, the fireworks I believe are 9:25. You'll have to book it to the castle area if you want the full fireworks experience!

Just show up a bit early to check in to BB, like 15 min early at least so there's no delays. Our meal was 1.5 hours and we were slow, I've done it in less than an hour before.

I'm planning to do the BBF! dining package on our October trip. We will have one child in a stroller with us. Can anyone speak to how they handle the stroller in the seating area?

Following along with this conversation and I have a few extra questions:

(1) if wanted one "nice" sit-down dinner in the parks, what is a better value - WOC dinner meal or F! dinner meal? - my youngest loves POTC so I am leaning towards BB. or is it just better to go w/o a show package included
(2) From what I read, it is possible to watch F! and then stay and watch the fireworks from the same area (they are adding projections here for the FWs as well, correct)?

From what I've read, the new fireworks will include projections at the Rivers of America, the Matterhorn, it's a small world, and Main St.

We're going to try to see the new fireworks from all 4 of those locations on our upcoming trip! Ambitious! :rolleyes1

Unless the child is sleeping at the time that you're being seated, they'll most likely ask you to park the stroller outside of the restaurant.

Thank you so much! Feeling much better about it now :goodvibes and loved reading your review!!

I was wondering about the seating area for Fantasmic. We've not done Fantasmic in ages, but I remember having to collapse the stroller and remove the kiddo when we sat down. Is that the same or do they require parking the stroller elsewhere before entering the seating area?

We were at last Saturdays Fantasmic. We arrived around 8:45 and were let right in. There was still "plenty" of space, and we found spots for 3 of us just to the right of center, about 2/3 back from the front. There was space behind us for another row of seats. Behind that there was a row of strollers and wheelchairs. It seemed that if you chose to sit in the back of the seating area, you could sit right in front of your stroller, and leave your sleeping child in it. Probably could leave an awake child in the stroller as well.

I'm not sure if I've seen this mentioned anywhere and I hope you don't mind my asking here; when you make a reservation for the Fantasmic! dining package at Blue Bayou do you prepay or make a deposit? If so, what is the cancellation policy? Thanks! Thinking about doing this for our first day in the parks this December (Sun, 12/6).

You do not prepay, but you do need to provide your credit card information. I believe the cancellation policy is the same as regular dinning reservations. I just reserved BB Fantasmic! and WOC dinning and I just needed to provide credit card and they show you the terms of the reservation - that you have to agree to before your reservation is acknowledged online. They email you your confirmation number.

I'm not familiar with their cancellation policy, is it 24 hours?

Dh & I just celebrated my birthday on Friday night at BB with the F! package. Our reservations were at 710 & we were seated right away. We got our two cushions & FPs when we paid. I had booked the meal at 710 hoping/planning on the later F! show, but our FP was for the 9pm one. I'm sure we could've asked for it to be changed, but we finished dinner at about 830 so it was fine.

We entered our seating area by Harbour Galley, and we got a spot right in front of the light tower (in front of HM). We were mixed in with RB dining packages; possibly because we entered the area on the later side? Still fabulous seats though.

The cushion was AMAZING! It's about 1" thick & prob 13-14" square. Both fit perfectly in dh's backpack. We used the cushions again on Sat for the Pixar Parade & while we were sitting & waiting for WoC. That being said, I highly recommend doing the F! package at BB early in your trip (if your planning on going anyways) so you can keep using those nice cushies for your tushies :)

We are going to DLR for the first time this December. I don't do all that well with sitting on the ground. There are no shows at WDW that require you to sit on the ground. How long is the show and do you also have to sit on the ground for WOC?

You only sit for F! If you purchase a dining package from BB or RBT. The show is about a half hour.

WoC is only sitting for a bit while you're waiting for the show (or until a CM says to stand up & move forward!). Otherwise, it's a standing show too :)

1) - F! Blue Bayou is the best in my opinion just because it is so cool of a location.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Blue Bayou has great theme park atmosphere. It's hard to beat being inside the beginning of POTC.

Carthay Circle has vastly superior food and a more elegant atmosphere. We enjoy both, for different reasons.

Have fun!
