Fantasmic Dining Experience

I've been trying to book the dinner package for our trip in January. All 3 of the restaurants are sold out for the dinner package.

keep checking back, i was finally able to book H&V for our upcoming trip:cool1: (we had horrid food @ Mama Melrose's 2 years ago & def not willing to give it another go)

while H&V isn't quite as good as it used to be (sweet potatoes gone last trip) it does offer a variety of decent fare.

Thanks, I'll do that. :)

Lucas, when in January? I got H&V for the last week of January about 4 days ago. Early though, 445pm. Keep checking back, it could happen. I got Category 2 for HDDR as well. I figured everything would be gone, but pixie dust was with me!

Here's some for you, too!:wizard:

Since Fantasmic is only going to be held two nights a week starting in January I would think the dinner packages would sell out faster. :confused3 Going from 7 nights to 2 is a big deal I would think.

when did this package in july and i expected to be entering into an empty theatre but when we entered in 1 hour before the show, guess what.........they were already full.

Park ticketholders are allowed to enter and can sit for hours.
The plus side to doing the dinner is you don't have to wait so long as others as those w/o having the Fantasmic dining option. Generally those diners only have to show up a half hour before show time. Whereas others without the dining have been sitting there for probably an hour or more.

If you are interested in a fantasmic dinning package, I would call ASAP to see what is available. Unfortunately we are going in Jan when the show is reduced to Mondays and Thursdays only, and the dinning packages are already sold-out. The last time I was in WDW (8 years ago) we didn't cue up with enough time and couldn't get in to see fantasmic, so this is one of my "must see" this trip. I really want to do the dinning package at Mama Melrose, but could only get H&V. For those of you going in Jan or later, I was told that the dinning packages are only being offered during the 3;30-4:30 timeframe:scared1: . Have Fun.

We are trying to book it for 01/19/09. It is Martin Luther King holiday, so I guess that is why it is booked up. I keep calling hoping for a cancellation. Thanks for the pixie dust! :)

I am also really wondering what the Fantasmic crowds are going to be like when it goes to only 2 shows a week. We'll be there in January, so I guess I'll find out!

go to www.disneyworld.com Click on calendar, then get it to the month and park you want. To see the specific show times, click on the number of your calendar day (in your case the "20"). That will bring up the park hours, ride refurbs if any, show times, parade times, etc.

Here I did it for you!

Looks like you have two shows that day. So if you decide to not do the package, the second one will probably be les crowded.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! :worship:

It worked! I've been calling every day & all three restaurants have been booked for the dinner package for January 19. I just called and Brown Derby AND Mama Melrose had openings. I booked Brown Derby as that is the one dh really wanted. :yay:

Thanks for the pixie dust! :wizard:

We just did the Fantasmic pkg at Mama Melrose last week and it is really a great deal on the DDP. It is only 1 TS credit and with the pkg everyone gets to order an appetizer.:thumbsup2

We showed up 15 mins before the show and were able to get good seats.

So we do get apps with the Fantasmic package if we are using the DDP? That is great! While we probably wont need the package for when we go next week, it is just good for peace of mind...and a great use of our tickets!

I'm sorry, this is totally off topic but I'm really curious what the X stands for in your user id? Theres not a lot of X names out there!

thanks
Xanthe

I know you were directly this question at me but since I'm a mother of a son named Xander, I thought I'd let you know I was in the "X" club.

:thumbsup2

Yes, the X club!
All of my son's coaches (football, soccer, basketball) call him X. He had X-Man on the back of his soccer shirt :)

Back to the topic :) I've decided to catch the late show and go without the dinner package......
