FANTASMIC! Dining, Dessert, Fastpass Thread - Q&A Here

I got my River Belle F! package for the opening day last night. I tried to call to see if I could convert my Blue Bayou reservation, but I couldn't get through and had to hang up to drive to work.

Did anyone do the River Belle area before? I haven't done either and just heard that the BB was the best.

I also have an RBT Fantasmic package and had previously snagged BB lunch reservations that day. I was able to speak to someone today and they said that neither could be converted to BB.
I'm not sad about RBT but really wanted to try BB this trip. My only option would be if someone cancels their dinner reservation at BB and I catch the opening at the right time. I guess I'll wait to see what happens next week.

So did they put a note on your reservation or were they able to actually book a F! dining package?

From the sound of it, the lead generated a new reservation...I haven't gotten an email confirmation so I'm going to hold tight to the confirmation number they gave me. She did say the lead was having a difficult time but managed to get it changed.
I also have a MSEP BB Package booked for the 20th at 420, and wondered if it could be changed, but didn't want to push my luck!
Now I'm wondering about the combo MSEP/F! package someone mentioned earlier...seems like it would be hard to get from one to the other on the same night. Maybe 9:00 F! and 1045 MSEP??

Was able to book RBT for dinner on Aug. 11th!

We haven't been to RBT since they changed the menu a few years ago. I'm interested to see what they'll offer with the F! package. Hopefully the seating areas won't be as much of a nightmare as they were the last time we did the BB F! dining package. It was great when we did the HB dessert party!

I finally got through after holding for 1 hour. I was able to get a BB dining package for 7/21 at 7:30p. My reservation says it's for the 1st show. That is concerning. I don't want to feel rushed to eat and make it over to the 9p show. I'm still relieved to have a reservation. I really didn't expect to get anything since nothing was bookable online.

I was on hold for exactly an hour. I was calling to check to see if the dates August 29 - Sept 1 were available by phone (they are not available online). The lovely lady told me that the hours for that period are not released yet - that is because August 26 is the changeover from peak timing and likely they just don't know yet if there will be one or two shows. She told me that the Blog is usually the first place to look for information, beyond that I should just check the website each morning to see if the packages have been released for the fall period. She also told me that they have been overwhelmed with the response this morning so I should really be sure to check daily for the packages.

After being on hold for nearly an hour I finally reached someone. Was told BB is completely booked up as of right now for my dates (07/17-07/18). They sold out around 0730 this morning. I already had a BB dinner res. for 07/17 that was non F! seating. I asked about converting it over and was told that's not possible. She said those who already did this morning actually had their old reservations cancelled and were issued a new reservation for BB F! dining which is now sold out. I also asked about the RBT premium viewing and was told that too was sold out as of right now.

Have you tried signing into the Disneyland website and pulling up "my reservations" to see if it is showing up there? Mine shows up there as the Fantasmic dining package.

How did you covert? I have an existing RBT ressie that I want to make F! Package

I searched for the River Belle Terrace package online (without logging in) for the same time as the reservation I had already booked. I found one 10 minutes later and grabbed it and then when it prompted me to log in, it recognized that I already had an existing reservation at that time and asked if I wanted to cancel it and replace it with the package. I clicked yes but got an error message the first couple of times. I kept clicking reserve and got a confirmation the fourth time through. I was a bit nervous that it didn't go through but I got the e-mail confirmation a few minutes later!

Here is a link to a thread (hopefully the right page of the thread) with a map of the areas back in 2014/2015. But, when we went in July 2015, they had combined the BB/RBT areas and were not keeping them separate, so who knows whether they will be separate or all filtered in to the same area this time. I think even if they are separate that either one is fine.

We are planning on doing an early morning that day so I would really like the first show because I don't know if my kids will last until 10:30 pm. Wondering if I should try to move up our time...

If you go to the website and click on make reservations, when it pulls up all the restaurants, you will see it listed as "Fantasmic Dining Packages". You won't find it if you just click on or pull up the restaurant itself. You can also just put "Fantasmic Dining" in the search box on the top of the website and it will pull up the link.

We had BB rezzies for MSEP opening night in January, but they weren't a package because that was booked up. When we arrived for our reservation (late lunch), I asked if I could convert to the package for the reserved seating passes and they had no problem doing that as long as we waited a little longer until they converted to the dinner menu. So it's worth a shot to ask if you're planning to keep your BB reservations anyway.

Based on the website and other posts the packages aren't available after Aug 27th yet? We are planning a September 1-4 trip so I guess I will play the waiting game for BB one of those evenings.

We are planning on doing an early morning that day so I would really like the first show because I don't know if my kids will last until 10:30 pm. Wondering if I should try to move up our time...

It seems to only be for BB that it lists the show time. For BB it actually lists "1st Show" in the title of my reservation. I previously had the RBT F! Dinner Package and it didn't say anything about the # of show.

another note...I did ask CM if there would be options for the 3rd show running the first week and she was not even aware there was a 3rd show. Her assumption is that it would be FP only.

As someone with special diet needs, I *really* wish that we could see the menus for these options...I tried to book a Blue Bayou package because I know they typically have one vegan/vegetarian meal option which my husband & I could eat, but we weren't able to get any reservations to go through. I booked a 8/25, 4:20 PM River Belle Terrace as a possible option for us, as they do have some vegan options on the regular menu.


In a few days, when the phone lines aren't so jammed, I'll call and try to confirm whether they can accommodate our non meat/seafood, non dairy/egg needs (and will cancel if that isn't a workable option with this package), but I wish they had menus up for us to look at! Will keep trying for a Blue Bayou reservation, as I'd prefer that, knowing they will be able to accommodate us, but this lack of menu thing is making me a bit nervous blindly booking at RBT.

Be sure to click on "All Dining" under Make Dining Reservations and then scroll down to "F" for Fantasmic Dining Packages. Don't search by the individual restaurant. That's what was throwing me off. Good luck!
