Hi all-

I forgot to ask a couple of important questions when I made my Fantasmic Dessert package reservations for this next Tuesday.

Where do we pick up our tickets? Inside our outside the park?
What time should we arrive for the 9pm show.

Thanks for your help!

You can pick up your tickets from Guest services just outside to the left of the gates. I ran over and got ours while DH waited with DD for gates to open.

You want to check in at the "desk" over by Haunted Mansion to get your assigned seating. That begins about an hour before your show. You may want to ask at Guest Services when you pick up your tickets. You only need one person to check in and get your seat assignments and then come back just before the show starts. You want to give enough time for the waiter to get your drinks and snack box before the show.

You'll love this! Have fun!

Thanks so much for the answers! I am so excited both for the trip and the show! :)

You can also pick up your tickets at Guest Relations at City Hall. You will need to show the same credit card that you used to book the tickets.

They start checking people in (giving seat assignments) at 8:00, but people start lining up at least 30 minutes before that to try and get the best (front row) seats. For the 9:00 show I think they actually start letting people into the seating area at about 8:30. If you don't just hang around New Orleans Square after you check in, then be sure to give yourself enough time to get back there in time for the show - there are so many people trying to get into the area to see the show that moving around is really difficult.

Have fun! The seats are pretty good, and it's SO nice just to have a seat and be out of the crowd.

We have dinner ressies that night at Ralph Brennan's at 6:30. It sounds like I may want to move them earlier so we can start lining up around 7:30 for seating assignments.

Thanks for the heads up!

..also..go earlier to reserve your seats than they say. We were early and STILL couldn't get first row. BTW, PLEASE come back and report about how it was and the how the desserts were.

Is it that important to get first row seats? Aren't all the seats good? One in our party is in a wheelchair? Where is the accessible seating? Does anyone have a photo of the seating. I am having a hard time picturing it. We have tickets for July.

Thanks

I would like to know this also.... pictures please of this seating, and the wheel chair issue. I have a scooter and want the fantasmic seating for my kids. and I.

I'm not sure where accessible seating is..I think just at the end of a row. To me, yes, it was important to get front row. We had second row and couldn't see over the heads of those in front of us. There is also a railing that kinda cuts into the view. I ended up standing at the back of the area during the performance to see (the people outside the area were on a higher level behind us so it didn't block their view) It was still worth it IMO and I'm planning on taking my daughter and her 2 kids in Sept (and this was supposed to be the cheap trip :scared1:)

I agree, front row is the way to go. It just helps you take full advantage of the viewing area. They group each section in rows of 6 or so with a space between for wheelchairs

Wow, I was hoping all was equal so we did not have to get there early....I bought the package to avoid the waiting thing....

Visualizing are the rows in tiers or are they all on one level?

If you arrive early 7:30 or earlier is it clear where you should line up. Does anyone have a photo of the line up podium?

Thanks.

Unless check-in policies have changed, they will also let you check in an hour before the 1st show for the 2nd show.

Well, you have eliminated the "camping out" to save a seat part. You don't have to wait around. You just want to get there to get your seat-assignment, then you can go play until your return time.

The entire section is above the seating area, but the rows of chairs are all one level. This is why people have said the prefer the front row, as there will be people sitting in front of you otherwise.

To get to the podium: Walk by Pirates of the Caribbean, beyond the New Orleans Square stores, just before the Haunted Mansion. On your right there is a churro cart. The podium is directly across from it.

We just did the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet last Sunday. (I can't find my pics, though).

I wasn't able to get to Guest Services before they closed, so I went to the ticket booth & got my tickets there (no problem).

We were told to be there by 7:30 to get in line to get our seats. As said earlier, only one person needs to be there, but needs to have everyone's tickets.

I was going to the show with Pete, Walter, Teresa, Max, & my daughter, Kelly, so I really wanted to make sure we got first row. I got to the podium area (in front of the Haunted Mansion, near the stairs near the popcorn vendor) at 6:pm for the 9pm show, and there was already someone there for the 10:30 show. Since the crowds were crazy last weekend I wasn't sure what to expect, so I got there super early. I would say that there were other crazy people there starting around 6:45 or so.

The podium got there around 7/7:15 or so, and we had to wait until 8pm before we could sign in. The cast member took all the tickets and marked them, and at that time assigned our seats. The people in front of me were waiting for the 2nd show, and they got their seating & took off.

There were three sections (new to me), which were grouped near the three main light poles. The area by Riverbelle Terrace was "A" - the area in front of Pirates was "B" - the area in front of Haunted Mansion was "C."

We got section "B" in the front row. To me, it was worth it because I wanted to make sure Pete & everyone had good seats. To me, this was the best view there was.

Our dessert box was more than I could finish & I ended up bring it home & finishing it the next day.

Thank you. They have changed this since I went. When I went there was just a few rows with no other breakdown. You just got: row 2 seat 6, like that.

I think I am getting this. So how did you know where to line up if the podium was not there yet?

So according to the above poster she waited 2 hours for the first row. Though it maybe be possible to cut the time down by 1 1/2 hours by arriving at 6:30-6:45.

Thanks everyone for the help. This makes things clearer.

so do they give you a ticket telling you what seat you are in? how can you stop someone from taking your seat with out one?? I would like to do fantasmic seating, !!

I'm so going to have to try this next time I go when Fantasmic is playing. I have still never seen it.

Back when the balcony was still used for F! your seat assignment was given in the order of whose call for the reservations was received first. No one needed to arrive before the appointed time.

The balcony was truely premium seating. Riverside, not so much.
No need to line up and wait for seat assignments. The seats were dead center so no side view of anything. Elevated above the masses. A buffet that was chocked full of wonderful treats, no cardboard boxes. China, flatware and cloth napkins, no paper or plastic.

Yes it was a small space, but I'd much rather be in an intimate setting with a great view and elegant offerings than a larger space with a lesser view and picnic style offerings.

Hopefully one day they will build that new restaurant in NOS and bring in a true premium seating offering similar to the balcony.
