Fantasmic! Dessert experience

Is this worth it? I think it would be around $300 for my family. Where is the best place to watch this if you don't do the reserved seating with the dessert experience? Thanks,

It's a reserved seating area with about 75 seats for Fantasmic viewing. The cost is $59 for adults and $39 for kids. It includes unlimited drinks (the hot chocolate is soooo good) and a huge box of treats (cheeses, crackers, grapes and MANY desserts). You need to check in at the desk about an hour ahead to reserve your actual seat. They have 3 rows of chairs for you want to get that front row if possible. Then come back about 15 minutes before F starts to get your box and drinks. We had so many snacks left over, we took them back to our hotel and snacked on them during the whole trip. You may want to bring a big bag to put the boxes in to carry back to the hotel. It was worth it to us since DMIL was on our last trip. We had a chair to sit on not the hard concrete. Plus so many people start camping out almost 2 hours before it begins. To be able to walk right up and have a great seat was worth it to us.

omgosh! This is sounds fantastic!!! =) At what desk do you have to check in at??? I've never even seen rows of chairs before when i have gone to watch fantasmic...is it located directly in the front middle?? Definitely considering this!!

First you make ressies 30 days out throught the Disney Dining number (press the premium viewing key). You pay when you make you ressies. Then you pick up your vouchers at guest services. Then at 7:00 they have a podium around the HM side of the river. You know how there is a lower walk way by the River of Americas then a step up level? Well, they set up chairs on the upper level. If you sit too close you'll get wet from all of the mist. But they have three rows of chairs in the fenced. The fence on the front and the back of the area are the iron fences for the walk way.

This question comes up a lot, and I always refer back to this link from last spring: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1815941 There's lots of good info and opinions on there, as well as pictures of the location, the view and the food. The only thing that has changed is that check-in time is now 8 p.m. instead of 7 p.m., and people start lining up to get first pick of the seats by 7 or 7:15.

We did it and found it well worth it, since it was our first time, and our DD5 would not have lasted until the later show.

This sounds like alot of money for a good seat and a tray with some chocolate and fruit, even if it is unlimited drinks. Seems like for $59 per adult you could have an awesome dinner at BB or somewhere very nice...

I would say do it at least once... we did this last year for our trip and enjoyed it and loved all the goodies... They give you so much yummys that we took the boxes back to the hotel and snacked on them the next couple of days...
