Fantasmic Dessert Buffet

We just did the buffet with twin 2 year olds and they loved it. The view and food are wonderful.
Beware, though, that 2 and under do not have to pay, but there will also be no seats for them. We asked when we called and were told they could eat at our table but were not told they would have to be on our lap for the whole event. The tables are tiny little drink tables so you end up with food and baby in your lap.

BTW, does anyone know if there's somewhere to park a stroller while you're in the balcony for the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet?

You just find any spot down on the ground, like you were going to look around the gallery or do Tarzan's treehouse. There's not anywhere special to park for the buffet. Maybe they should for $50/head...

I'm so undecided about this. It's so expensive and my brother, who is going with me, can't eat the majority of the stuff (sugar and fat...just not a good combo with his health). And yet, the appeal of not having to fight for ground space is very strong.

What to do...what to do. :confused3

I would highly recomend it! They have a lot of great fruit and veggie trays with an unbeatable view.

There's fruit and veggies? Can somebody expand upon this (I'll need any info to convince my brother to spend the money.) All I've heard are the great sweets but nothign about the healthy stuff (ok...I'm more interested in the sweets but there's my brother over there...sulking at the lack of healthy food...so...I need info on the healthy stuff.)

The night we were there they had a fruit tray with apples, grapes, watermelon, etc. They had a veggie and dip tray with carrots, tomatoes. celery, etc.. Also a cheese and cracker tray along with the sweets. The sweets included cheesecake, chocolate cake, little tarts and some other chocolates.

I just did fantasmic sunday night march 19th. It was small cups of hot coco plain no whip cream offered, coffee, soda, or water. The buffet was vey basic for the premium package we got. A bit to sweet sugar cookie with raspberry filling, a tiny biscotti, dipped strawberries, tiny macaroons, small mickey shaped rice krispie treats. The dessert sizes in itself was smaller than what you would get buying it inside the park. I don't know about veggies cause they said it was strictly a dessert buffet and if you're worried about sugar and things this might not be for you cause everything they offered was WAY sweet even for me and I like little things like that but even taking one or 2 bites of them I felt a bit blah from the sugar. The show is wonderfull though and yes it is 59 per person, and they only came to offer us drinks when we sat down so you have to be pretty sure for yourself you want to spend the money for it.

Hmmm...perhaps we'll spend the money on a meal at Granvilles or another DLR restaurant.

Was it the balcony? I just kept note where they were dispensing the drinks and got it myself because during the show the servers disappeared. No biggie. We did it before and my youngest daughter even had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the show! Bathrooms are out the balcony, down the stairs, through NOS towards the train station on the left across from the pin shop. Okay. It was my idea and my birthday and I was determined not to get upset about it. The CMs were very nice about the whole thing too. That helped a lot. Would I do it again? If I can bring my niece along to babysit. lol.

$56 is a nice meal at Napa Rose. I'd definitely do that.

Oh and as for the being pushy post from above, I never thought you were referring to me being pushy at all. I just wanted to point out that even if a person wasn't being pushy, it didn't work out that way. I also found out they number the tickets when you pick them up from the front, but that doesn't make sense to me either since the tickets say on them in order of purchase. Who knows. I should ask the ladies that get the front row every year. I swear they were the same two women because they wore these unique knit hats. Anyone who goes next time, please ask the people who got first seating how they did it.

No, we got riverfront seats, but was told it was the same thing in the balcony. I also had people giving us including others dirty looks cause we were in the roped area. One man and his wife had to threaten one young guy he had to be 20 or so if he did not move from sitting on the rope pole and blocking their daughters view. When I looked for a server or a place to get another coffee during the show I noticed they were putting things up and had rolled out the coffees and all. Maybe they changed things up recently due to it being so cold not sure. The show is very nice but just be sure you wanna spend that type of money caused you can do a much nicer dinner for the price and just get hot drinks and what not yourself before the show.

Lostgirlz, did you do the 9 PM show on Sunday? We were at that show and the CM had everyone around sing happy B Day to my son. That was such a neat experience...

We were at the 10:30 show they did have a few birthday people there they sang for. I loved the show, but expected a bit more in the buffet at least from what I was told, but no biggie. I do highly suggest to anyone thinking about doing it make sure you want to spend 59 per person I only say this because while they do offer a few things it's all things you can get in the park and in much larger portions. I found the only added thing you get in the package besides dessert and basic small drinks which I found they only brought us one coffee which the waitress said she would come back around throughout the show (she never did and did not see any others doing so either) is you get fold up chairs to sit in. Other than that you're sitting right with the reg public who did not pay for the package.
