Fantasmic Dessert Buffet - Worth the money?

Dear ELISE72 - I just had to comment on your screen name. My daughter is named Elise. She is named after my sister Elise - who was born in 1972~ so my sister would be Elise72. I know she isn't planning on a Disney trip so I know it's not her, but what a coincidence.

Has anyone been since early last summer? Have they got the check in hiccups taken care of?

This thread has been a great wealth of information, thanks to all that have contributed.

Wondering if it's gotten any easier to get a "spot"...because this seems like it would be a fun thing to do.:confused3

I've been in November.

They definitely know about the correct check in time meanwhile. People were still lining up very early for check in though. We were there at 7.20 PM and barely made first row.

But then again our showing was the first after the hiatus, so I'm thinking it was probabably more crowded than usual.

Fantasmic will be shown almost every night in January, due to the lack of fireworks and parade. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the information. Is the cost of the dessert box still $59 per adult?

Hi!
I'm also curious on the pricing, and if you can get an AP discount? :confused3

Thanks!

BTW- No matter what I did on the official Disneyland site, nothing comes up about the dessert reservations.

Besides coming here on the DIS, how do folks even know about this?

I have ressies for next week. I booked through Vacation Planning. If I remember correctly, the adult was $59 and the kids around $46 or $47. I asked if there was an AP discount and was told no. I hope this helps. If you are staying at one of the DLR hotels, call Vacation Planning at 714-300-7526. I have found Lauren and Barbara to be especially helpful!

Thanks for your info! :goodvibes

We will be staying onsite in May. Now just trying to decide if it is worth it, or not. :confused3

Thanks again! :thumbsup2

I know I saw some pictures of the viewing seats somewhere, but I can't find them again. :(

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

The photos I saw were actually a picture of all the chairs all set up. But I can't find them again.

I just booked this the other day. I can't wait to check out this version after seeing WDW's version several times.

I couldn't get Mary Jo's photos to work either. :confused3

I am so torn on this but in the end probably won't do it. I did the balcony seating twice, years ago and that was so wonderful. You only had to show up 30 minutes early and that was just to get your desserts from the buffet before the show started. It was probably the most magical piece of Disney luxury I have done ever in DL or WDW or on the DCL.
