My brother in law is recovering from a broken femur and uses a cane. I am worried about him in the crazy line for Fantasmic. He will be at Disney World Nov. 14-21, so there are no dining packages for Fantasmic available. Is there a Fantasmic dedicated line for handicapped?

Thank you! I did try a search before posting here but the thread you suggested didn’t come up for some reason.
Hmmm. It comes up fine for me. If the link doesn’t work for you, just scroll down this forum. That thread is on the first page of threads and has Fantasmic in the title.
The main things In it are:
- DAS was able to be used at Fantasmic in the past; entry was thru the Fastpass line
- Disney has not announced anything about whether Fantasmic will be available thru Genie+, Individual Lightning Lane or whether DAS will be available
- nothing has been announced yet, but the official PlanDisney has suggested people watch the Disney Blog website in case there are further announcements

CM will pull scooter/wheelchair get once they are closer to arena. If standing is an issue, he really needs a sco or wheel.
Our experience with Fantasmic in the past using the Standby line was that the Standby line extended down Sunset Blvd past the Beauty & the Beast theater before the Fantasmic entry opened each nigh. The was very congested and busy until guests passed thru the narrow entry area, As it widened out past that entry, it did get less congested, especially once you reach the ‘circle’ areas in the screenshot.
This screenshot is ‘how it was’ previously with the website’s guess of how it will work if Genie+ is added. The areas I labeled 1 and 2 are where it widened out.
The blue R is the restrooms and the yellow Cs mark the concession stands. The red X marks where guests with mobility devices were held and the red dotted lines are the path to the accessible seats.

The ’possible Genie+’ area was the previous Fastpass + area. That is the area we used with DAS the last times we went to Fantasmic. I may be wrong, but remember not having to walk thru the congested area in front of the concessions. It may be just that we entered early before the main crowd entered or we may have used a different path

Guests using mobility devices were pulled off to the right soon after the wider point and waited in a line for a CM to direct them.
Guests in that line were asked whether or not they could transfer. Those who could transfer were allowed in with their mobility device; it was parked by a CM after the Guest was seated. Guests who could not transfer were led to a spot in the back row; the entire back row was mobility spaces with one companion seat next to each space and the rest of their party was directed to the rows right in front of the mobility device.

Getting to an accessible spot was anxiety provoking for us. The CM led you to a spot, but the area in front of the concessions were extremely congested and busy with guests getting concessions and going back and forth to the restrooms, etc. The CMs were careful, but It was sometimes hard to see the CM because of all the people.
Once we got our seats, we didn’t move because it was very busy.

After the show, we always stayed put until the majority of guests had left. It was much easier to go out doing that because it was a smaller, spaced out group instead of a huge, tightly packed crowd.
Also expect guests to start exiting as the last part of the show begins. CMs try to keep them moving, but they did usually try to stand and watch the end of the show from just behind the row of wheelchairs.
I am going to highly recommend a scooter. His bad leg is not that strong yet and I worry that being jostled in a crowd could be a disaster.
I can’t emphasize this enough.
He would need to be able to walk a minimum of 5 miles per day in each park. If he’s concerned about jostling in line for Fantasmic, he needs to also be concerned in any lines.

Thanks, Sue. My previous reply was not well stated. I was trying to say that before I even posted this thread, I tried to get info via search but the post that you mentioned didn't come up in reply to the search. The link you posted works just fine. It sounds like my brother-in-law is going to rent a scooter. Thx for all the info. I will pass it along.

Just want to thank you for help in convincing my bro-in-law to rent a scooter. He swallowed his pride and did it. He is there now and realizes he NEVER could do it without the scooter.
One more question: is there a handicap spot reserved for viewing the MK fireworks? He doesn't want to bother going if he can't see the projections while sitting and it is too late to reserve any dessert spots. TIA.
