Fantasmic Concession Stands?

Hey, planning our first trip to WDW and would like to see Fantasmic. Based on the advice I've been reading, it sounds like we need to be there pretty early. We have two young children (5 and 2) so thought we'd take advantage of the concession stands to eat while we wait for the show. Since I've never been I don't really understand the set up. The doors open two hours before the first showing, how early for the second showing (we'll be there on a Sudnay night)? Are concession stands actually inside the theatre? We could get our seats and then get food to sit down and eat before the show? What kind of concession food? Is it the typical popcorn and hotdogs or is there anything different someone could recommend?

Sorry for all the questions, I expect my little ones to be tired at this point and just trying to figure the best way to approach this so we can all enjoy it.

I don't remember concession stands - this may have changed since the last time we saw Fantasmic, which was in 2002.

What I do remember is people walking around selling things like at a Baseball game. The bleachers you sit on are very long and if you were in the middle, it would be difficult to go in and out to get a concession.

I'm going to bump this so you can hopefully get an answer from someone that has gone recently.

Hi we just got back and saw Fantasmic. We arrived a half hour before showtime and were able to get seats. You may bring food from the stands down the hill before you even get to the theatre. Across from Beauty and the Beats are stands selling burgers, nuggets, pizza, fries. There is a courtyard outside the theatre that sold drinks, ice cream and churros. Once inside my kids bought popcorn but I didn't see any other food there.

When we were there in August they had the normal concession type things, but they also had a little lunchbox for kids. It's a cute, rectangular box with the Fantasmic logo on it. It had an uncrustables, juice box and cookies or chips (can't remember). We got that for my DS and we were able to buy milk for my DD. We also got soft pretzels and shared two - they're HUGE!

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the replies. I love this board! I feel much more confident in our plan now. Nothing worse than a tired and hungry kid...well, except two tired and hungry kids! The little lunch boxes sound great and glad to hear there is a variety of food in the area. Thanks too for the tip about the long bleachers... Glad to hear the wait for Fantasmic wasn't so bad DisneyBugs, I imagine it will be more crowded when we go in two weeks but I love hearing that you were only there 30 minutes prior. It gives me hope...

Thanks everyone! :cheer2:
