Well, today was my special 30-day mark... so I started the phone calls as soon as I could - only to get the busy signal for 15 minutes straight. Finally at 8:15 I got through and sat on hold for 5 minutes. When the cast member came on the line, she informed me that both the balcony seating and premium seating for Fantasmic for Friday, Sept. 9th were sold out.

Unfortunately, that is the only day that Fantasmic/Fireworks will be going on while my BF and I are Disneyland. And I am VERY disappointed because it is the one extra special thing I wanted to do.

Does anyone know what happens if people don't show up or cancel their reservation? Is there a way to get my name on a waiting list?

I didn't even think to ask the cast member while I had her on the phone...

The tickets are nonrefundable and must be paid in full at the time of the reservation. There is no way to cancel them and they can only be picked up by the person whose name was on the credit card used to purchase them.
There is no wait list for them.
I'm sorry you weren't able to get them.

I am so sorry to hear that DisneyGirlTer...we will be trying really soon too, and I am starting to think that we will not be able to go either....the demand is getting just too high now I guess. :(

I guess I didn't think that it would be that much in demand in the slower month of September as it was for the summer. Because I had a friend that called and got through (for end of July) no problem....I guess I had better not get my hopes up then.

I was out of the country when my wife called for reservations. She said she spent about 5 minutes in the que and when see talked to the CM they were booked in the balcony for August 20 for the 2130 show but the 2230 only had two reservations, so we took 6. Many folks I have talked with said to check with guest services when you arrive. Like previously stated "you use what you paid for or you loose it. THUR FRI, SAT are verrrrrrrrrry busy

Wish you the best of luck

I blew my first chance a couple of Fridays ago by dialing the WRONG number for 15 minutes (and getting a busy signal throughout). When I finally got through at 8:15, they were sold out.

I then started calling (the right number) at 7:30 on Saturday morning, trying again every few minutes, and finally got an answer about 30 seconds before 8. Got 6 seats for a show at the end of August!

When we first did the balcony thing in 2004, it was a well-kept secret. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case....

What balcony thing? I tried to get tickets for Oct 2 and they were all sold out.

Unless people have bigtime connections, the tickets for Fantasmic are only sold exactly 30 days in advance. I have read rumors of BB being shut down in October..Rumors are Rumors

This is for the dessert buffet? I would like to get this for Sept. 11, so I think my day to call would be tomorrow, right? What time do the lines open, and what time zone is that? I have a meeting tomorrow at 10am central, and I'm afraid it's going to be then. :(

Balcony seating sounds like the best (is it?), but how is premium seating, if it's available and balcony isn't?

TIA!

Right now the times are 2130 and 2230. Your reservations are pre-paid, non-refundable. Most recommend that you show 20 minutes prior to your reservation time and one CM stated that you are seated in the order you made the reservation(How many folks before you made the reservation for that time and day.)
Expensive, but what isn't. To me you are building dreams for the future and memories to build on. It is alot like having sex only one time. You will like or not..You may want to try it again.

Make reservations 30 days to the minute in advance to the minute at 0800.

Please post your experiences so other may share.

Have a fantasmic day.

Hello,

My husband and I have done the PS for Fantasmic 2 or 3 times. You will need to check in an hour before the seating time and then again 20 min before to confirm that you are back. The first time you check in, they give you a number. This is the number in the order that you will be seated. If you are number 1 you will be seated first, 2 your will be seated second, and so on. Unfortunately, there are no cancellations. You can also try to get on the patio seating of the restaurant that is across from the lagoon. You will have to purchase food and get there about an hour before the show but it is an option.

I called Vacation Planning last night, thinking tickets were going on sale today for Sept. 11, but as Mary Jo already posted, it was Aug. 11 for Sept. 11 instead. So the balcony was already sold out, but they still had 28 seats along the river. I had to find out if my friend would be able to come with me (and at the moment she was actually *peforming in* Fantasmic in WDW so I couldn't reach her :goodvibes ), so I called today. I decided to call the regular number instead of VP in case there were others who thought it was today and were calling, because I wasn't sure if VP could make the ressies in real time as I talked to them. So I was able to get a buffet ticket by the river. Fantasmic is only being shown once while I'm there, and this is my first trip to DL (and like to be my only one for a while), so I decided to do it in style and not risk being stuck with a bad seat. So I'm all set! :cool1:

I called VP later about the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour for Sept. 13, since it doesn't go on sale till tomorrow. So they can book it for me. That's a pretty nice service. :teeth:

Thanks for all your help, everybody here! I'm learning so much about DL from all of you!
