hi

would like pros and cons of the fantasmic buffet - $200 for 4 of us seems a little steep for a "free" show but waiting 2+ hours during winter break also isn't appealing-

in the past people have raved about the buffet but now negative opinions are popping up - namely it's crowded with poor views - i can get that for free :)

would appreciate any and all opinions of the fantasmic buffet and which if any is better - the riverfront or balcony

thanks

cindy

We have done the balcony seating twice. Once we were splurging for my husband's birthday and the other time because we had so much fun the first time! It is expensive and as to whether or not it is worth it is very personal. For us it was. For one thing, my father in law has diabetes and heart problems and it would just not be feasible to have him standing that long. Also, both of those trips were short on time and we just didn't want to invest all that wait. The desserts were very good. They had a huge selection, you got as much as you wanted and they also had cheese, crackers and fruit so you can totally skip dinner! They will also bring you as many drinks as you would like. Not sure why anyone would not think the view was good. We have sat in the front and back rows and both were great. You are literally looking across at the show and have no obstructions. If you get the back row do not despair. Your little ones can stand and so can you because there is nobody behind you. It is a little cramped but not too bad. You get there a half hour early, get your desserts, settle in and then have the view. I do also believe (and you need to check on this for sure) that you will be refunded if it rains. I hope this info helps. Basically if you can afford it give it a try! Good luck!

The balcony would be a prime view (not that I would ever pay that much for it), but the waterside I think isn't such a great view (I really wouldn't pay for that one).

Personally I dont like the view as *I* much prefer to be front row water front (Yes I get there pretty early) and the balcony seems "so far away" from the action.

All in all its not a bad view- I just prefer others :) -em

I'm with Em--I also prefer front row on the water. I really don't mind waiting 4+ hours, but I go often enough that it's no big deal. Usually by 5 or so, my feet need a break anyway.

It's been several years since I did the balcony buffet, but I loved it then. It was "only" $35 then, I don't know if I could justify spending $50 on it now. I'd sure like to though.

We just did it in July and I thought the food and view were Fantasmic!(;) sorry, bad pun!). Great array of food, unlimited drinks, perfect view - and we were in the back row!

I did it last year for a birthday trip.....although I was kinda sitting in a planter (I was very comfy with the plant next to me!), the overall great view of the show, decent desserts and NO WAITING IN CROWDS made it well worth the money to me. We'll probably book it for next year for DH's first trip there!
