Fantasmic balcony seating question

I'm going to try to get balcony seating when our one-month date comes up next week. We'd really love to be in the balcony for the fireworks, also. So do we want the first Fantasmic show and then we get to stay after for the fireworks, or is it the second show and we get to enter the balcony early to watch the fireworks? I want to be crystal clear on which showing lets us be in the balcony for fireworks -- when I call for tickets I don't want to waste any time asking questions!

Thanks!:flower3:

There have been many threads about the balcony seating recently. From these I have learned that if you see the 1st showing of Fantasmic you can stay to watch the fireworks. If you book the 2nd showing you get your seats after the 1st people have vacated their seats after they have watched the fireworks.

Again from what I have read from recent threads is that the firework view isn't that good. You can not see the castle so you miss Tinks flight and can not see the effects on the castle itself, you just see the fireworks. It is recommended that you view the fireworks properly a different night from the hub to see the show in it's intended light.

What's the dessert buffet costing nowdays? I may try to do this on our next trip.

If you've never done it, you may want to try to do it at least once. I've done it twice. The pros are that its a nice way to see Fantasmic & to avoid holding down a piece of pavement for a long time. The cons are that it is pricey &, as a result, you my feel compelled to stuff yourself silly. In a sense, you may end up feeling you overpaid to overeat. Although it is a nice experience, I can't honestly say that its worth $240 for a group of four. I'm thinking I'll also skip this on our next trip since I'll be w/14 in-laws. I like DW's family, but I don't know if I like them that much. :lmao:

That's funny.

We've seen Fantasmic at DL and WDW and love them both. Hate the lack of seating at DL. This will be ds6's first time at DL and we're doing everything to make it memorable because it will be a long time before we get back.

I think he'll love the great seating, Indy and pretty much any roller coaster he can reach the height of.

Yes, I'll probably stuff myself silly too.

well im gona pay for it. i loved wdw's one but i didnt rember dl not haveing any seating for it.. so if nothing else were paying to have good seats and over eat..im hoping to be abel to take some thing home hehe i usely get to much for my tummy to handel at a time..

Dose any one know what time we should be there to get first seatting so were in fround and not stuck in corner. im small and my son probley wont see from the back..lol

The location where you are seated for the balcony is determined by the order that people buy their tickets in. If you are one of the 1st people to call that day and buy your tickets you will be seated on the front row, if not you will be seated on the back row. Checking in early on the day does not mean you will definately get a front row seat as the seating schedule has already been predetermined.
If you are staying on site I would recommend you get vacation planning services to book your tickets for you as it looks like they get first choice on the day they are able to book them. If not make sure you phone at 8am exactly to get your seats. We intend to get vacation planning to book our seats along with the tours we want to do and our PS for our meals.

I second Damauk's advice about Vacation Planning Services (VPS). I've used VPS twice and both times they were able to secure Balcony Seats. The second time they obtained my second choice rather than my first choice, but both times I had front row seating. I don't think whether you're on the front row is very important, however, because there are only 2 rows. BTW, I find using VPS much easier than booking everything myself at WDW because I only have to call or email them and they do everything else, sending a confirmation when complete.

Regarding the question about how early to arrive, when you pick up your tickets, you will also receive information about where and when to check-in.

oh cool awsome. im doing dlh concerage level for this nov trip so that sounds good ill make sure to tell them thats what i want..ty for the advice.

I agree with everyone that the balcony for Fantasmic! is expensive :rolleyes1
but you have the best seat in town (tables & chairs that can be moved around so everyone can see), unlimited desserts & drinks (try a bite of everything) and super hostesses :thumbsup2 You can stay after the first show and see the fireworks and that is all you see (make sure you schedule a different night to watch the show from the hub) :goodvibes Vacation Planning is the only way to go if you're staying on site and I think they must have first dibs on reservations :dance3: as we have always gotten what we wanted at the time we wanted it. :cool1:

I took my friends to the 9 PM show last night. $49/person. The cast member told me the balcony seating is currently being used for guests who get "dreamed" so you can't purchase them at this time. The dessert box had 4 large, yummy choc covered strawberries, 2 Mickey head rice crispy treats, 2 very fudgy brownies, 2 coconut macaroons dipped in choc and then you got your choice of beverage. We all had hot choc, which was amazingly good - not like the packet at home. The riverside seats were great and the cast members fabulous. One cast member, Ana, was asked about a cookie that I guess they used to have at the dessert buffet. Ana told her it wasn't part of the dessert box. A few minutes later she came back with one of the cookies and gave it to the lady - I love how they go the extra mile.:thumbsup2

i heard the balconey starts back up next month and that they had a buffet not box...

we're going in september. My friend is desperate to see Fantasmic so we're thinking of booking the balcony seating. However, we've only got 2 1/2 days at disney. One day we obviously want to spend in DCA and one in the main park. The half day is morning/afternoon not evening. We MIGHT have an extra evening in the park but incase we don't, would you recommend leaving DCA to see the fireworks from the hub? As we won't get a good view from the balcony seating?

i sugest you hop, dca shuts earlyer then dl i think, and id book a fantasmic balcony. (i think right now its two anight..when i go its only 1 a night and on weekend

Thanks :-) I expect when I go it'll be one showing too cause it's september 5th time. Anyone know where we can find out?
