Taking in the time of the show and traveling back to the GF would this work?

Thank you in advance!

Yikes! It sounds like you are cutting it pretty close. When F! lets out it will be a mob of people leaving at once. (slow) Then what if there is a long wait or line for the bus? An hour and a half to see the show, exit the theater and the park and get transportation to GF...seems like a lot. Is F! being shown any other nite of your trip?

Yes it is offered two other times during our stay but i couldnt judge the travel time and show time for a after show meal since i havent been to it before.

That was very helpful though hmmmm so a good 1 1/2 letting out and traveling sounds like a good estimate to me..

I dont think eating before 6:30pm for us will be good so im trying to plan it out for after the F! show. We are going 1/1/11 to 1/7/11 and im making dining ressies now.

If you have your own car, you'd definitely make it:
(These are all worst case scenarios)
Show ends: 7:00
Out of HS: 7:30
Get to car: 7:45
Drive to Grand Floridean: 7:55
That gives you 5 min to check in

If you are taking the bus, you can still do it, BUT: you'll have to sit right by the exit, and ready to run out as soon as the show ends, so you beat at least most of the rush (a lot of people will be leaving HS after Fantasmic, so you'll have to be one of the first groups to the GF bus stop to be sure to get the first bus)
Show ends: 7:00
Get to bus stop: 7:15
Max wait for GF: usually 15 min: so, 7:30
Bus may have 1 stop before GF: arrive GF by 7:50
Plenty of time to check in by 8:00

Also, Disney policy is to horld your reservation for 10 min, so you really have until 8:10 to check in (though, they'll often give you more than 10 min, but it's not a guarantee)

I would say if you don't have a car that this would be one of those times I would spring for a cab directly to GF from HS. :thumbsup2

Why don't you try a reservation someplace at the Boardwalk or the Yacht/Beach Club?

Maggie

hmmm so it "can" be done but not in a relaxed manner it appears lol. Thats what i will have to really consider if i want to stress out and start running for a exit that night. hmmmm....
