Fantasmic and Wishes same night?

I am a new poster but have used valuable info from the Dis to plan my
last 2 Disney trips. My boyfriend and I will be in Disney Sept 30-Oct
5. We are trying to use most nights for F&W, but I want him to get to
see all of the night time shows. I am okay with missing one since I
saw all on my last trip in April. We also are not planning on going to
the Halloween party, so this limits our night to see wishes to
Saturday October 3rd. This is our planned HS/pool day. I have the
Fantasmic dining package reserved for this night already. My question
is with Fantasmic at 8, will we be able to make it to the MK in time
to catch Wishes at 10? We are not picky about the view but would just
like to see the fireworks, then maybe hop on a couple of rides during
the PM EMH. Thanks in advance!

It will be tight, but doable, if you don't encounter any delays.

F! will end at 8:30.
It will take up to 15-20 minutes to get out of DHS.

Disney transportation (bus) will get you directly to the MK gates from DHS gates, so that's
better than driving.

Bus from DHS to MK may be busy, but even if you need to wait for a second or third bus, you will still make it to MK before 9:45.

Thanks for posing this question hamilkm and your answer as well Robo. I find myself in this same situation Columbus day week. The only night that isn't a party nite at MK is Wednesday during the time we are there. We would like to see Wishes and I have the F! dinner package booked that day. 7:30 F! and 10:00 Wishes. Looks like I have an extra 30 mins between shows making this quite feasable, I hope.

Robo gives great advice.

Sometimes the line to Contemporary is shorter than for buses to MK.

So, you might also try….taking bus to Contemporary, stop in for a cocktail, and walk to MK…..just saying'

Oh, we do this often enough for me to say that your plan is workable, as is mine.

Agreed, I would definitely suggest taking the bus from HS to the contemporary, then walking from there. It's no more than a 10-15 minute walk from there.
