fantasmic AND star wars fireworks?

Hi. We will be there next week and fantasmic is scheduled for 7PM with the fireworks at 7:45. Is it possible to do both.
We have seen fantasmic lots of times and love it and really don't want to miss it, BUT we never saw the new fireworks show.
Should we skip fantasmic to get a good spot for fireworks viewing, or is it possible to do both?
Any advice is appreciated!

Considering that Fantasmic is right around 30mins, you will be VERY rushed to try and exit Fantasmic (especially if you have good seats) make your way through the masses, and attempt to make your way back to the Chinese Theater for SW fireworks. And, you would have a poor spot to view the fireworks from, as everyone else has taken the best spots. I honestly would skip Fantastic this one time to see SW fireworks, especially if it's the version with the projections and "light sabers" in the sky. We had to miss the SW fireworks last trip, and I was pretty disappointed.

When I last went to DHS over spring break last year, we had close seats for Fantasmic and it took some time to get out of the park. Although we didn't watch the fireworks from inside the park, we were able to see them almost perfectly from the parking lot. I'm not sure if the view is the same for everybody who parks at DHS, but it was a great way to watch them without the crowds!!

last year before June it was the Star Wars fireworks, the current show is a projection show with some fireworks so it's not ideal to watch from outside as you will miss the projections on the Chinese Theater

We were there on Tuesday and rode tower and terror after 7 and were headed to watch the fireworks right after. We got stuck right in the throng of people exiting fantasmic and I was worried we would not be able to get a good spot for the fireworks. I was wrong and we got a great view right in the middle of the theatre about 1/2 way back in the crowd. This also goes to show you this was not a busy day crowd wise.
