Is it possible to do both fantasmic and the Star Wars show/fireworks on the same night? I'm not sure if there will be enough time to leave fantasmic to get to the Star Wars area. We will have a 6 and 7 year old with us. We are going later his month.

Thanks!

Depends on the timing of each show. If fireworks are at say 8pm, then you'd want Fantasmic to start at 8:45 or 9. Basically if their 30 min or less apart you'll have to choose which to see.

Disney has been doing this to alleviate crowds

Both shows are incredibly fantastic and both must see. I myself wanted the best viewing seats as possible for these two shows so I opted SWGS dessert party for one night and another night the Fastasmic dinner package for another to get the best seats. If you see both shows in one night, you highly may not get the best viewing for one of the other show, FYI -- HTH.

With the recent timing of the start of each show, it would simply be impossible to see both in the same evening.

I was at WDW a couple weeks ago and while watching Fantasmic (started at 8 p.m.), the Star Wars Fireworks started at 8:15 p.m. which made it for a very uncomfortable show to watch Fantasmic. So, if the times are the same like the night I saw Fantasmic, you will have to choose one from the other. You can check the entertainment schedule on the WDW website for the particular day you plan to be at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
