Fantasmic and Star Wars fireworks in same night?

Hi all. We will be in WDW in late Feb. Times are not out yet for the Star Wars Galactic fireworks but the weeks prior to our dates it is scheduled for 7:45. Fantasmic is scheduled for 7pm on our dates. Assuming Star Wars Galactic will be scheduled at 7:45 also is it realistic to try and see both in the same night? Has anyone done so successfully? And was it a pleasant experience or not worth the rush and hassel? We do have the option to go back to DHS on another night if we have to. Thanks!

This may be comparable, a one-time experience I had, that worked fine.

In July 2015 I saw a 9pm showing of Fantasmic! and made it comfortably over adjacent to the Hyperion Theater (so, basically in front of the Chinese theater) to see a 9:30pm showing of the (then) Frozen Fireworks.

As usual, existing the Fantasmic! theater was slow and crowded, but that's normal, and we still made it over to see the fireworks just fine. I was surprised how relatively easy it was.

From what many posters have shared here, it seems to be unlikely. The fozen fireworks didn't rely nearly as heavily on projections on the buildings. That is why it worked in that case. For SWAGS, if you wait until F! is over, you are either crammed right up against the building or so far away you cannot see the projections, which are a large part of the show. There will be some exceptions on low crowd nights or if you get lucky, but it's not something we are willing to count on.

I would say no.

You'd have to go through the cow chute of leaving Fantasmic! and try to get close to the theater. With the projections, it would be tough to watch it from the back.

My question is the opposite. Our times for SW aren't posted yet either. I'll be coming in March and F! is posted for 8:30 with an 8:00 closing time. I was hoping to get in dessert party, fireworks, and fantasmic but most of what I've heard is that's unlikely.

You'll have to wait to see what the actual final hours and events will be.
The final hours won't be available until 1-4 weeks in advance.

On SOME nights it would be possible to do both.
On OTHER nights... zero chance to do both.

Was the fireworks show delayed? Or Fantasmic shortened? I'm just trying to wrap my head around getting from the amphitheater at 9:27, in a huge departing crowd, to the Hyperion at 9:30. Glad it worked out for you!

End of June 2016 we saw both, but...

We had Fantasmic! dinner package seats and sat near the back of the theater. We slipped out near the end of the show and headed straight to SW fireworks. Best view we could do was over by Min and Bill's so it was an obstructed view of the projections.

I saw both in November. I walked to the top of the stairs at the end of Fantasmic and watched the end from there. My view for Star Wars Fireworks was a little off center but not bad.
