Fantasmic after park closing??

I'm looking at August hours on touringplans and it shows that HS closes at 7pm however, it also shows Fantasmic showings at 9:00pm and 10:30pm. How is that possible?

Maybe I shouldn't set my plans based on these hours and wait for them on the official Disney site.

Don't wait on the official disney site or you will really have wrong information, it is notoroius for being innaccurate. August hours have not been released yet, so I am guessing TP is just going on historical hours and have not updated them yet for this year.

The first 2 week of August DHS usually stays open till 9 or 10 pm w/ F! showings at 1030 a few nights, after value season starts the closing time varies greatly usually from 7pm-9pm with F! showings after closing at a few nights. I would wait for the hours to come out before making any more plans.

It is possible.
Last year in August,as my mom and I were going into Fantasmic with the crowd for 9:00,lots of people were leaving DHS.
Fantasmic does shows after park hours.

They can have shows "after hours" but they start at closing time. Which is really just when the ride line close not when people are expected to leave the park.

But, in the case of Fantasmic!, it is not at all uncommon for the last show of the evening to have a start-time that is actually 30 minutes AFTER the park closing time.

Most guests intending to see that show will already be in the theater line (or actually in the theater) by that evening's "closing time" anyway.

On any night that F! is shown, the last starting time for a show will never be more than 30 minutes after Park Closing time.

And on the way out there may be some stores open, but there will be CMs stationed along the route so your only direction of travel will be toward the Park Gate.
