Fantasmic 1st or 2nd show?

I'm considering doing a Blue Bayou Fantasmic dining package and while I would prefer dinner, all that is available for my date is lunch. If I choose 12:40, it says it's for the first show or I can do 1:50 and get the 2nd show. I'm fine with either time for dining, so my question is; do you prefer the 1st show or 2nd and for what reasons? Thanks!

I have done Blue Bayou Dining Package for the first show for the last number of years. I try to get right at the railings , and then after the first show, I stay at the railings to watch the fireworks.

Its a pain to leave afterwards but I usually hang around New Orleans Square. There is a sweet spot of time right around when both the first and second show starts that Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and probably Splash Mountain are all basically walkons.

This year I did the second show for the first time. I was at Big Thunder Mountain when the first show started and it had a 10 minute wait

We aways do the second show, just returned a week ago did the secind show then booked it over to SWGE and rode smugglers run, had time to wander around the area before leaving the park at midnight.

I've always done first show, mostly because we're Magic Morning rope-droppers and by that time, we're wiped out! Plus I like staying for the fireworks, even though it's not quite the same as on Main Street.
