Hi,
I did a search for this but could not find anything - though I am sure it is on here somewhere, but I was wondering if someone could shed some light on how the Fantasma with dining option works.
If you make a reservation, can you choose any time (reservations being available) so long as you are done eating before one of the shows? In other words if we had dinner at 6.00pm could we go to either of the evening shows?
Thanks in advance!

If I understand correctly, each restaurant of the 3 participating restaurants is given x-number of Fantasmic tickets with specific dining times. Generally speaking, the latest dining time you can get is around 4:30. I've heard of people getting 5:00, but I gather it's pretty rare. We're going in June, and the latest we could get at Mama Melrose is 4:20.

If there are 2 shows, they only offer Fantasmic packages for the first show. As the PP said - the dining times are early.

(By the way it is Fantasmic, not Fantasma, so that's probably why you couldn't find anything.)

Thanks very much for the information (and the name correction -oops). Unfortunately it is already completely booked in the dates we are there in May and June.
Thanks a bunch though :)

We were able to book MM Fantasmic! package in May for 5:00. I was pretty surprised I got that time.

The Fantasmic! Dining Package combines dinner at one of 3 restaurants in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park with designated seating for the Fantasmic! fireworks show.

The Fantasmic! Dining Package gives you an unforgettable dining and entertainment experience. With the convenience of choosing lunch or dinner at The Hollywood Brown Derby or Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, or dinner at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, you'll also enjoy designated seating for the Fantasmic! fireworks show.

With 3 restaurants to choose from, you can decide between buffet service, casual dining or fine dining. After your meal, be dazzled by the dramatic spectacular, Fantasmic! Follow Mickey Mouse into a dream world as he and his friends battle Disney Villains in an action-packed conflict of good versus evil. Fantasmic! is performed on select nights only and runs approximately 30 minutes.

Reserve a table at one of these 3 restaurants in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park:

The Hollywood Brown Derby (lunch or dinner)
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (lunch or dinner)
Hollywood & Vine (dinner packages only)

The Fanstasmic! Dining Package is available on all days when there is a Fantasmic! show scheduled. On days when there are multiple showtimes, the Dining Package priority seating is available for the first showtime only.

Pick up your VIP voucher for Fantasmic! at the end of your meal. Please plan on arriving at Hollywood Hills Amphitheater 30-45 minutes prior to showtime. The entrance for Dining Package seating at Fantasmic! is located on Sunset Boulevard next to Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.

Be sure to check the Times Guide at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park for schedule and show times.

(For anyone else with the same problem:goodvibes!!)

I would just give one little piece of advice if you think you really want to do the dinner (which makes it significantly easier to see the show). Call back, check back. Especially after you are there. I can't remember the exact cancellation period, either 24 or 48 hours, but I'm telling you, especially in May, you will have a good chance of getting in if you are patient enough to keep trying. The castle works the same way, FYI.

I was able to book my Fantasmic pkg without difficulty. Was not able to get your "typical" lucnh or dinner time--I got a 2pm time. So I figured that day I could sleep a little later, see some of the park; do lunch and finish up the day with wandering around and of course--Shopping before having to go and wait for the show. Make a kind of lazy day (or at least that is the plan :thumbsup2)
