So for our next trip we have scheduled a couple of non-park days. Our friend that is going with us has specifically requested to go to one of the Disney mini golf courses. I have been reading up on both Winter/Summerland and Fantasia Gardens. We will be staying at the Beach Club Villas and won't have a rental car. I saw that Fantasia Gardens is in the Epcot resort area but can anyone tell me exactly where and would it be an easy walk from BCV. Are there any discounts for DVC members? Also, have you ever done the mini golf? What did you think?

DVC Members and up to 3 guests get 15% off for mini-golf. If you play a second round I think there may be another discount, but don't hold me to that. I have been offered one when playing Fantasia Golf/Fairway Golf and Winterland/Summerland.

The walk over from the Epcot resorts is kind of far but definately do-able. It's beyond the Swan/Dolphin pool area. I think there's a marked path. You should do it, depends on if you have mobility issues or how hot it is. Have fun!!

I haven't been to Fantasia Gardens but DH and I went to Winter/Summerland last month. It's very cute, not particularly challenging. We enjoyed it. DVC members get 15% off, AP holders get 50% off. It's located at Blizzard Beach so you take that bus to get there.

Love Fantasia Gardens! You have two courses to choose from. As adults only, we chose the course that resembles a regular golf course. Not crowded at all! We went at 10:00a.

15% discount, second round is half price.

We've never done Winter Summerland, but LOVE Fantasia Gardens...once you know where it is, it's easy to get to from BCV...but it can be a tad tricky finding the right path...

It's across the street from the Swan...there's a path between the entrance to the Swan (by where the boat docks) and the pool area...once you reach the road, you can see it and then it becomes easy to get to/from...

It's a long-ish walk, but pretty and pleasant and by no means "real far"...definitely under a mile...

As far as I know, there's no "public transportation" (Disney buses)...if you're going over from Downtown Disney, or one of the parks, you can take a Disney bus to the Swan...I'd figure on 15-20 minutes at most to get from BCV to Fantasia Gardens, walking--even in the humid heat...

Have fun

It's very simple to get to. It's behind the Swan, right next to the Swan & Dolphin tennis courts. The Google Earth path tool says it's 0.27 miles from the Swan & Dolphin boat dock to the Fantasia Gardens entrance. It requires crossing Epcot Resorts Blvd, but there is a crosswalk.

It's a 0.75-mile walk from the Little Mermaid statue in front of the BCV entrance to Fantasia Gardens, if you don't feel like waiting on the boat.

Wow! You really can't beat that for helpfulness!

We go to Fantasia Gardens every trip and we stay 99% of the time at either BWV or BCV. The walk is about 15 minutes - not worth taking the boat over to S&D. Easy walk, alot of fun.

OMG, thank you so much everyone, especially Birds of Prey Dave. I now feel like I can guide my little group with confidence. I told my DH and our friend that mini golf was definitely on last night and they both sounded very excited. Now to see about a haunted carriage ride for that evening.

Sorry, they are not runningthe haunted carriage ride this year!!!:sad2:

Hardest course in the world per Golf Digest.

We played Fantasia Fairways a couple months ago, very fun and well kept-hard for sure. With kids I would recommend the other (although we never played it).

Fantasia Fairways, the more difficult of the two, is designed with hazards of a real golf course such as sand traps and rough terrain. Fantasia Fairways was voted the longest and most challenging mini golf course in the world by Golf Digest[citation needed]. Par is 72 for the fairways course.

My son always preferred the Fairways challenge course even when he was about 8 years old. This makes me think we need to do that again sometime! We never take the time to do it, and we need to!:thumbsup2

Last time I played there they had a 50% discount for AP holders and it gave the discount to all three players with one AP.

We have played at Fantasia, but, never at Winter/Summerland. It was a lot of fun, however, I seem to remember reading somewhere....maybe a year or two ago.....something about snakes at Fantasia......don't remember if someone was bitten or there was a nest inside one of the holes......wish I could remember the specifics.....anyway, just be careful and don't stick your hand under bushes or inside anything to get a ball back!
