Fans of Disney Legend Wally Boag...UPDATE 12/15

prayers/positive thoughts needed for Wally and his family. Wally suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. His condition is serious and Laurence (his son) tells me that he doesn't want to recover--he's old, tired, and ready to move on.

For those of you who were able to accompany me to the Boag home in October to meet Wally and get our books signed, we were so lucky to have that opportunity. Ellen and Wally will not be returning to that house.

The hospital called Laurence as I was on the phone with him so I may know more when he gets back to me.

Thanks for thinking of Wally and his family.

So sad when this happens at this time of year, it should be a time of happiness but so many experience grief now. A friend on another board I visit, her SIL is in hospice, she will pass anytime, same board, another friend, her step-Dad is in hospice and he will pass anytime. It's just soooooo sad that this happens during the holidays.

My thoughts are with the Boag family during this time, may they find peace.

Update: Wally is still very unwell, but his condition has improved enough for him to be transferred to the assisted living facility. Laurence said that his sister has done a lot of work getting Wally and their mother taken care of in the best way possible and both he and his sister are now there with their parents, trying to help them with this major changes in their lives. Wally and Ellen will be able to be in the same care home where they will have around the clock assistance and will be surrounded by their own things. It is, of course, a difficult adjustment so continued best wishes for the Boag family at this time.
