Fanny packs on rides?

Hi all, :wave2:
I have read posts saying nothing is alowed to be carried onto some rides.
On my last visit in 2002 my party all had small fanny packs (large enough for a wallet & digital camera) which if you swivel to your side, would not intefere with the ride vehicle/seat lap bar. We were always allowed to ride.
What is the situation these days?
I'm particularly interested in ROTM & Dueling Dragons.
Thanks a lot.

I have worn my fanny pack on both of those rides without a problem.

I also wore a fanny pack on both rides. Just push it to the side if it won't fit right.

When we were there in November, they weren't letting you carry anything on ROTM, and were making people put their fanny packs in the lockers.

The only rides you cannot take any carryons onto are hulk, mummy, and dueling dragons. I don't carry a fanny pack but I have never seen them let anyone on the mummy with one-they always make them go out and put it in the locker. I have seen them do that on hulk and dueling dragons as well.
They have the signs up on MIB but I always take my backpack into that one..they have a place for them on the ride.

I go with no bag as much as possible. I find bags to be a real pain at IOA and US.

I went on the Mummy 4 times in a row in January. No need to remove fanny pack. As long as it doesn't interfere with the safety bar. Also didn't remove it for any other ride.

Yeah. As long as it doesn't interfere with the restraints, you shouldn't have a problem.

I go a few times a month and I know I have seen them send people out numerous times for fanny packs...is it something that if they don't see it you are ok or that only certain attendants are really sticklers for it?

Weve been on everything with a fanny pack. I think the difference is that there are large fanny packs and slim ones that sit on the hip. The large ones that I have seen and have like this would have to come off on some rides.

Last July, I was told I had to remove my fanny pack and put it in a locker. There is no fee for the locker.

Large hip packs have to go into lockers. Small ones don't. It all depends on if there's an interference with the restraints...

Thanks Guys,
It's good to have this cleared up. Don't fancy using the lockers, given all the negative posts about them! ;)
