:grouphug: Does anyone know where I can get child sized fanny packs. I am making Disney survival packs for 4 kids between 3 and eight years old, and can't find fanny packs for them anywhere!

When we went a few years ago we couldnt find anything for our kids, so my wife bought three of those small, soft-sided lunch boxes, and sewed waist belts onto them for the kids. They worked great, we still have them, but they are too small for the kids now. You might need to get creative like that.

We just got 3 fanny packs at Ocean State Job Lot, if you have one of those around, but they are adult sized. Only $4, and pretty good for that, but I don't know how small they go. They do fit our 12 yo DS, how is very slim.

If you have a Toys r Us near you, I got a Barbie fanny pack for my dd for her birthday. It was on the clearance rack. Or if you have a sporting goods store they may have childrens sizes. I know the local Gander Mt store carries childrens clothing. Just some ideas.

For our last two trips our children have used fanny packs that were children-sized from L.L. Bean. Our youngest was 4 when she first used one and I was worried about finding one that wouldn't slip off her little hips. LLBean's was perfect and it got as tight as we needed it for her. She looked so cute with a pink fanny pack around those hips. We're going back to WDW next July and we'll use fanny packs again, but plan to add water bottles on the belts this time!
Good luck!

Big Lots has Disney Princess fanny packs for $5. My DD used hers on and off during our last trip...

HTH!

We purchased an adult-sized fanny pack and wrapped it twice around DS - he's used it for several years now - we played around with it and realized that once it doesn't wrap around him twice comfortably - THEN we just tighten it to the smallest size and it will fit that way.

Since he only uses his fanny pack at Disney - we got a Disney one (black with the words "Walt Disney World" written out)- and hopefully it will last for years

they do sell kids-sized fanny packs in various places - but I know if I bought DS a cute one for when he was really little - I'd have to buy another one as he got older anyway - this one should span a few years.

i just found some at walmart in toronto. i live in pa and they didn't have them at ours! thanks for all of the great ideas.

I used regular sized ones I had. I put the strap on the smallest setting and then tied a couple of knots in the strap. It worked fine and even better, it was free...more $$ for disney!

Hey. I bought my DD 3 hers at Big Lots. They had Disney princess fannies there. This was 9 month ago. They were in the toy section. As for the boys I dont know. I dont really look at boy items.

Hope this helps! :cool1:

I have an adult one that my DS 5 just had to wear, well he is so skinny that even making it small didn't fit, so I tied a knot in it and it fit. He wore it the whole day!!! :p
