I have 7 and planning a load more when I'm not saving for our Disney trip. I have: 1. A butterfly and swirls filling my left for arm. http://s614.photobucket.com/user/wicky_woo/media/bfly_zps4adbbf30.jpg.html 2. Nan on one wrist. 3. Grandad on the other. 4. Stars on the top of my back. 5. A Mickey head and a Walt quote on my neck. http://s614.photobucket.com/user/wicky_woo/media/mousetat_zps10ba03fd.jpg.html 6. A Sugar skull on the top of my right arm , which is the start of my floral half sleeve. http://s614.photobucket.com/user/wicky_woo/media/skull_zpsded5c9b6.jpg.html 7. Stars on my Thumb. Hoping to get a horseshoe on my foot ( it was crushed by a horse 10yrs ago and it's to cover up the broken blood vessels/ scar) and another Walt Quote on my back before we go away. I love Tattoos and am hoping to get 2 half sleeves and both forearms , and a lot more on my back and legs . If people knew me I don't come across as your typical person to be covered in tattoos, quiet , studious and shy. I can also cover all of mine except my thumb, and I do if I need to go to a church or anywhere where I'm not 100% they will be appreciated. But I do love showing them off too. Excuse the shiny photos , they are just finished in them and still covered in Vasaline.
This really is something I have thought about doing and I have a feeling it would end up being Disney related! My only problem is I can't decide where and I'm not 100% confident about going to a studio on my own

You've got to be 100% sure before you get it or else you'll regret it like I do with the one on my left leg! Fortunately I stopped with just the outlines on 4 stars and only one was filled in, I plan to get it removed some day! But I'm fairly sure it'll still cost about £700 if not more! Having said that it doesn't bother me that I do have it either I just don't particularly like it! So make sure it's something your happy with or have something somewhere that can be hidden if you want to hide it! Like my foot is fine but leg and wrist I can really hide! And tattoo studios are not bad at all! They look kinda daunting but I think you'll gone the staff and genuinely lovely! I've been using my studio for piercings since I was 15 and had my first tattoo at 18! My recent tattoo was done by someone I had never met but he did an amazing job and spent a long time perfecting his drawing and the outcome was fantastic! Go into a few and ask to have a look at some of their designs you can usually tell how friendly they are just by walking in there! Also have some ideas of what you like, tell them what kind of things you like and ask if they can draw something up for you! They have very creative minds and it's amazing what they can think up just by you throwing some ideas at them! The picture I gave Aaron yesterday was nearly the same as what I got but he said the one in the picture was wonky and looked rubbish as it was to small to show of the detail of the bow, so I just said go with the size you fill is right for the style of tattoo! And boy did he do a good job! Also whilst he was doing it he asked if the picture I gave him had a black outline around the bow, I showed him and it did! I said to him you are the tattooist and you know what will look better so you do what you think will look best and he said no outline it looks rubbish with an outline! And again he was right! They generally know what their doing so once you have an idea pop into a studio and see what they can draw up for you! :-D

I agree with the above, You will know when you find the right studio/ artist, it will just feel right , My artist Wayne , felt like an old friend from the first time I met him, I had a couple of artists laugh at my designs and say they had to change everything etc, but Wayne sat with me and advised on balance, positioning and colour , so I ended up with my drawings but with an artists eye.
Also don't be afraid to ask questions , ask to see the equipment , the autoclave and associated certificates, and make sure they open fresh needles and uses new everything with you. It sounds basic but there are some unscrupulous people out there who will cut corners.
Most studios have websites, or Facebook pages these days, so go and look through the pics , get a feel for their style , see what fits with your ideas.
Be warned tattoos are like chocolates , you can't just have one !!!
