Hello,
I'm just about to buy my passes for Universal, but I ran into a question that I'd like to have answered before I make my final purchase.
My sister and I will be visiting US and IOA, so we're probably (almost definitely, unless amazing deals show up) going to get the "Bonus Pass" for 5 consecutive days that is advertised online. It's $89.95, so that's a pretty good deal. The problem is this:
I also have the Universal Fan Club Card, which states a 10% on passes purchased online through the website. I just visited the website and clicked on the offer labeled "Bonus Pass - Fan Club" and was a click away from paying for it when I realized it's the same price as the REGULAR "Bonus Pass".
I called up Universal to ask and was told (rather rudely, might I add) that sometimes the deals are only good for certain tickets. I understand that, and that's fine, except that I scoured the benefits and haven't found any stipulations for the discount except that the tickets must be purchased online. (**EDIT** I did some more searching and found the "select" tickets through a different link, so disregard that.)
Does anyone know anything about this? Are there extra perks or any difference in the passes? Is there another way to get the 10% discount? I know it's not a LOT of money, but it would cover the cost of shipping or pay for our lunch one day. I'd rather not give up on the discount before trying all possible routes.
