Hi guys, I was just looking for some information on our first trip to Disney in sept (14 to 24) We are a family of 4 with 2 more on the way, with our girls being 9 and 1.5 years. We are coming from Canada and have our place of stay booked. I was hoping someone could give me some insight on the best way to purchase WDW tickets. We are planning for a 3 day admission to the parks. I've heard about the fast pass but don't know much about it. Is it recommended for our time of year. Also any other must dos or must see for the little ones would be great ! What parks are best for the littles?! Thanks a lot !

:welcome:to DISboards!

The Canadian Community Board may have ticket tips for you.

The FP FAQ and the Ticket Sticky, at the top of this forum, both have valuable planning info. FPs are recommended for each park day. :goodvibes

Hi. Also from Canada. Your going to have a grea time. Not sure where you should get tickets. Someone else will have to answer that. The best parks I would say would be Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. You will want to get fastpasses. I would suggest getting your tickets asap so you can book these. The Festval of the Lion King and Finding Nemo are both excellent shows at Animal Kingdom. Also if you want to eat at any table service restaurants you should make reservations for those.

With a three day ticket you can save some money by buying from an official Disney reseller. The one we have used is Undercover Tourist. I think Maple Leaf is another. Your youngest does not need a ticket. The older daughter qualifies as a child in Disney.

Once you have your tickets, you will want to schedule fast Passes. This will save you time getting on attractions. The first post on this board is a great resource on planning your fastpasses.

I am from Canada as well and you will have a blast. My mom has gotten tickets at CAA for many of our trips as well as my brother's. I recommend Fast passes no matter what time of year. They help make sure you get the rides and shows you want with less of a wait. For your kids ages I would say Magic Kingdom, for the rides and characters, and Animal Kingdom, for the Safari, would be the best parks followed by Hollywood Studios. Epcot would depend on your eldest daughter's interests. Are you doing Park Hopper? I know some people don't recommend it but I have found it to be one of the best add-ons for my tickets.

I have been there that time of year before and it can get very hot and rainy. Especially, since this summer has been fairly cool and rainy for most of this country. Pack with the expectation of getting wet. We bought ponchos there because, while they are more money than the dollar store, if they rip Disney will switch them out for a new one for free.

Take Britta water bottles because they water has a weird taste. If you ask at any quick service restaurant they will give you a free cup of ice water.
