Has anyone used this site?

It is a budgeting site for kids. We have used it with our kids for a little over a year now.

I thought I would mention it here because I have read great posts over the years and have gotten great ideas from everyone. I don't post very often but was excited to finally share something that really helps our kids budget their money!!

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try it.

My oldest just started babysitting and making some of her own purchases (clothing/makeup/etc) this summer so this would be perfect for her. She's also been talking about saving up for an ipod.

Up until this point we just put any cash gifts she got into her bank account (that money has never been touched) and DH & I paid for anything she needed. Now that she's old enough we're paying her cash to watch her siblings and do extra chores so she has her own money and can decide how she wants to spend and save it.

I hope you and your daughter find it as useful as we do.

The biggest help was that the kids can visually see how close they are to a goal. My 14 year old daughter saved up for an ipod too and it was much easier to let her spend that much money knowing she put some hard work and thought into the purchase.
