Sorry it's taken so long to get day 3 up.
Captain's Log. Stardate 10.16.04
Today was a 'free day' where we spent most of the time just messing around at the Grandparent's house, chilling and relaxing. Later on in the evening, we ventured en masse to Aunt Janet's for dinner and partying with some of the other relatives.
There was definately a full house with the 8 of us, Aunt Janet, her DH Gary, her DD and 2 DSs.
As well as Uncle Rog. I even think Aunt Sue and her DH (Steve? Fred?) Sorry..there are so many of them it's hard to keep track of who is with who. DFIL has 9 bros and sisters and I have a hard time keeping up with who's married to who, who divorced who and when and even all the names of the DSs, DDs and assorted inlaws, outlaws and renegade animals..er..pets.
After a sumptuous and VERY well prepared dinner of lasagne (thanks Aunt Janet!
)with spaghetti, meatballs, meat sauce and tons of garlic bread, the adults decided to hang out in the dining room and living room to just chill. The 'young uns' (that was me, DH, DS, DSIL, her DH and LittleBitty) went into the basement with Janet's 3 kids (DD 12, DS1-15??? and DS2--13???)to play Dance Dance Revolution on their XBox. I really worked up a sweat jumping around like an idiot to the tune of some really wierd sounding Japanese music. I totally sucked, and everybody laughed. But that was ok. The only one who was any good was DS1, who jumped, twirled and stomped like a pro. *clap* Then the cousins introduced DH and DSIL's hubby to a very violent and silly (I thought..made ME laugh anyway)game called Halo where they basically just ran around shooting everything that moved with whatever weapon was on hand. If they ran out of bullets, they would whack each other over the head with their guns or bazooka or whatever was handy.
We stayed up VERY late that night...Aunt Carol, her DBF and her son Mattie were coming in from Bowling Green,OH to spend Sun with us since DH doesn't get to see his Northern relatives that often. They arrived sometime after midnight and it was probably close to 1 or 1:30 when we finally headed back out for the grandparent's to sleep and prepare for Sunday.
