Family vacation budget

I need to make certain I am not leaving anything out of my budget

we will leave and get as far as we can be it all the way to orlando or half way on the 5th

our vacation technically starts on the 6th then we check out on the 16th while we are on vacation we have MYW and free dining and annual passes

then we have to be home on the 18th but if we can do it in one day its fine

so what should we include in our budget?

Gas
breakfasts
spending
other tips
ears
autograph book
hotel nights on either end of the stay
pennies to press
laundry
epcot kids passport

am I missing anything? I have already experianced the emergency services Orlando has to offer and know who accecpts our insurance and what the co-pays are etc...

anything else?

Extra snacks not included in meal plan?

That's all I could think of. Looks like you have it pretty much covered!

Have fun! We just got back and I'm already going through disney withdrawl. Especially since DH says no disney next year. I guess I'll have to start hoping for a trip in 2 years

how much should one budget for tolls?

will we need extra snacks outside of the meal plan? I have been hearing that it is so much food...

we will drink our own bottled water (sigg bottles refilled at restraunts)

I believe that we paid $6 each way for tolls so $12 total.

Sounds like you have everything else covered...have a great trip!!

How about kennel for pets?

Stamps and postcards?

Souvenirs and gifts for people back home?

Make sure and budget some for unexpected stuff. We went through THREE pairs of sunglasses last time we went to WDW. One fell off into water, one got stepped on, and lens fell out of one. One year the battery died in the camera.

How about photos in the parks?

Not sure what you are doing about transportation, but possibly parking fees?

Pins for trading?

Phone calls?

Stroller rental?

And the previous poster already mentioned photos in the parks...be especially aware of the photos taken at restaurants where they show you the picture and then ask if you want to buy it. It's hard to resist your cute little ones hugging Mickey...and the packages run about $25!

Are those photos on the photo pass?

taking our own stroller, staying onsite so no parking fees (annual passes give free parking anyhow), we have cell phones for calls. we are taking postage and I had indeed forgotton the gifts for others.

more suggestions I seriously want to make certain we are covered.

We are budgeting for the photopass CD this year since we always spend a fortune on pics. The restaurant ones like Chef Mickey's are not put on a photopass....or at least it wasn't when we were last there in 09/05. The other thing we budget for which sounds silly to even me is balloons. DD LOVES them so we usually get 3 or 4 while we are there and I think they are about $7+ each so theres $30 easily.

The photo pass also doesn't cover the ride photos. (I have never been a big park photo customer, but I couldn't pass up the photo of my 4 yr old on Tower of Terror. He was sooooo proud that he went on it. It was a real accomplishment considering he was scared to go on Spaceship Earth. He can barely be seen in the photo because he is glued so tightly to his father's side...screaming! I had to have it!)
