Thinking of a family trip which would include 4-6 adults and 5 kids...looking at a low crowd week in February. With this many people we would be better of staying offsite. I have been reading about FP+ and it seems it is not available at this time (and may not be in the future, at least for Feb. 2014) for offsite guest. Do you think the FP+ is a big deal if the crowd levels for the week are 3?

We've been in February, with low crowds, used fast passes, and have had the most wonderful, low wait lines ever! Now, we are bringing the rest of the family and with the new FP+ I am wondering how much it will change our waits/fast passes, etc.

IF you can look past the Theme Park and Strategy Forum, the reality is only TSM, TT, and Soarin are greatly affected by Fp+. That means for those 2 parks if those rides are a must, get their at RD, and either get in the standby line or get a FP. Just so you know RD at HS is often 30 minutes before park opening. At Epcot FP either TT or Soarin and do the other Standby.
If those rides are not absolute must don't worry about it. Nothing else is greatly affected.

I've been there various times and on low crowd as Feb...unless maybe MLK or Spring Vacation breaks, it was not a no go for the top rides. You should even be able to get a FP.

We stay off site with the big family trips and love it. I would rather have a living room, bedrooms, washer dryer, full kitchen and close parking then three FP+ a day. Plus the cost savings is enormous.
