Family Trip September 2010

I am planning a trip for my family 2 adults and 2 kids ages 4 and 13. I need help with resorts my husband wants to stay at CB and I want to stay at port orleans riverside.. Can anyone help us out???

We stayed at CB a few years ago (before pirate theming) and really enjoyed it. We had a large group with us and everyone loved the landscaping and the feel of being in the Caribbean. However, we did have quite a hike to the food court building every morning, which wasn't a problem because we were a group of older teens and adults.
Having said that, we wouldn't stay there again for a couple of reasons. One, the bus system takes about 20-30 minutes to get around to all of the bus stops, which was annoying. Also, they have an internal bus that takes you to the check-in area, which was a pain. The resort was just too big for us. It's really not worth it for our family because we spend very little time in the room.
I've also heard great things about POR so hopefully someone else can give you a good critique of that.

We loved the CBR. We were only 2 buildings over from the main restaurant, so there was no hike for us. The pools were great - main pool with water park area and a private pool for swimming. We sat on the beaches and watched the Epcot fireworks at night. The buses took a little more time, but they were never crowded (October).
