Family surprised me with...

So, my DH and kids surprised me this week with the news that we're headed to my favorite place on Earth for my 40th birthday! We arrive at POR on 3/29 for 5 nights! But so much has changed since we were last there in 2010, so I would love any tips we can get on Magicbands and Fastpass+. I'm combing these boards for info, but any quick tips would be great! Thanks!

You must be doing your happy dance What a great surprise! The threads that siskaren recommended are great! I hadn't done that much reading up on FP+ when we traveled to WDW (it was fairly new), but I found using the MyDisneyExperience website pretty easy to navigate and everything went off without a hitch.

Happy planning! Try not to over think it on the planning is my advice (for what that's worth).

We did our first FP+ vacation this past June. Everything went wonderfully.

Thanks everyone! I was so excited when DH told me as I thought that DS's college tuition costs made this trip impossible. The planning is half the fun for me so, given the close time frame, right now I'm focusing on meal reservations. Can't wait! The countdown is on!
